Edit: Google is asking me to update my review with if we had dine in etc last time. Nothing else has changed in my last review as I'm not going back. What a let down, after eating here in the past, and giving a 5 star, I've had to drop it down to a 2. Apparently it's all too much hassle. Get a drink that has milk running down it prior to us being it, ask for a cloth to have it cleaned up so we can eat breakfast, get handed a napkin to clean it ourselves and have it sit there the entire time.... ask to make sure due to an allergy, that the meal doesn't have a certain ingredient and get told 'well we cant guarantee it, we cook in a kitchen with garlic'. Well yes you can, you use a clean pan, clean utensils, clean down your area and cook without cross contamination .... it's not hard considering it was just bacon, a tomato and haloumi, fresh avocado and lemon. Ask to know what is in the haloumi as if it says spice I can't eat it, all I'm told is it doesn't have it. Ask a different person to show me the ingredients to make sure, they already told you it doesn't, yes ok, but I was also told there's no caution when someone comes in with an allergy in regards to food handling, so I'll check for myself to ensure that I know I won't get sick. If they had handled it better, my review wouldn't have changed and I'd have just left it and put this down to a mistakes happen. But the attitude of the girl server was disappointing as food allergies are not a joke. Breakfast was huge, and delicious....this is my daughters who didnt eat lunch after this... will definitely come again next time I'm in town...

We went to this cafe this morning with our family, and unfortunately our experience was not as great as the other few times we have been. First of all they sat us on a table that had water on the chairs but didn’t want us to move the it forward to escape the rain or change tables, I have a 7 month old and they didn’t allow me to have him in the pram next to me because it was in their walk way, it was cold for us let alone my son. The older waitress was actually super rude but the food was great which is a plus. My partners grandparents asked for plain pancakes and got a batter that was supposedly blueberry mixed batter but it looked like green mould, lucky she wasn’t allergic to blueberries! Not sure if we will come back solely because of that very rude waitress

DELIGHTFUL TRANQUIL SETTING We stopped in here for an early 06:30 am breakfast. This is a delightful clean and tidy restaurant with outdoor seating. The staff very attentive immediately and made you feel welcome bringing water to the table immediately, and taking coffee orders straight away. The seating has a refreshing outlook across to Magnetic Island. The menu to fairly comprehensive and they have a separate children's menu. Accessibility is no problems for wheelchairs and walkers with free town car parking across the road opposite the Restaurant. I found the personable staff gave prompt service and the refreshing outlook a delightful experience. The food was well prepared and delivered in a timely manner.

I’m giving two stars because I have eaten there a number of times and it has been good. If there was a zero star for today it would have been given. I have had good experience there mostly however there seems to be a general decline in consistency with service.

Today we arrived the premises and it was busy. We were given a table and then sat and waited, and waited, and waited to be offered drink service. My wife eventually gave up waiting and went to the counter and asked to be served. Our orders were taken, and that’s when the big wait commenced as we continued to see people who arrived after us first getting their drinks, then their meals. We bought this to the staffs attention who said that they had raised our order with the bar staff. We continued to wait without even getting drinks. A waitress came over and apologised for the slow service saying that “she couldn’t control how many orders she took at once”. (Pretty sure you can take one order, take it to the kitchen and then come back and take more orders??!).

Anyway, we continued to sit and wait, and wait and then, after about ten more minutes of waiting (do you get the picture that we WAITED for a bit) we walked out. We are now sitting at McDonalds who have offered better service. Despite being customers for years of Odessy, I can’t see...

Our Welcome and initial ordering was great, after all we had made a booking! That and the location turned out to be the only highlights! We ordered Chef's Favourite breakfasts and fruit crushes. The fruit crush ($8) was for me a tasteless mix of syrup with no hint of the delicious description of Mango, Guava and Lychee. When we returned them and the owner or supervisor (as we were told) was dismissive and disrespectful referring to my dining companion as "Darling" several times. He declined to add or replace drinks without further payment. Stating "We sell thousands of these and have no issue" Implications being for me that the customer is not always right !! My companion opted to finish her crush, mine I gladly declined despite the price! Breakfast was passable if a little on the pricey side (maybe not for the location, location). The breakfast however came with poached eggs which were completely hard ( a first ever!) and pesto which was only on one piece of our two Turkish toasts. The described shaved parmesan had apparently taken a leave of absence! After the interaction regarding the fruit crushes. We elected to eat and go!

When you pay $66 dollars for breakfast I expect a lot more!! Not a place I will revisit when I return...
