Pit Stop Bros — Restaurant in Victoria

My visit to Apollo Bay took a hard left into horror territory thanks to Pit Brothers BBQ.

I ordered a lamb burger and onion rings, expecting a decent meal; what I got instead was a brush with death that left me genuinely terrified for my life.

The food looked fine on the plate—deceptively so—but a few hours later, I found myself in sheer agony, curled up with stomach cramps so vicious it felt like something was clawing its way out from the inside.

And then it got worse. Sweating through my sheets like I’d just crawled out of a swamp, I suddenly found myself violently sick, watching that ill-fated meal make its encore appearance. It was only then that I realized I wasn’t just ill—I was in a genuine medical crisis. For a moment, I honestly thought I might need an ambulance.

Hindsight is brutal: I wish I’d taken a harder look at the reviews. Avoid this place at all costs.

Stopped in here for a burger, apon entering I was wowed but the interior which had a cool 1960s american dinner vibe. Checked the menu was surprised that most burgers started at 16.50 -20 something dollars and didn't include chips.

Got some lame ass excuse of a chicken burger literary was mcdonalds worthy and the chips to where pretty average at best. All up I paid $30 ( for a burger pluss chips plus a can of coke)

I know it's a tourist area this is why they jack up the prices but damn that shit was worth $17 all up at Max.

If you want to see a cool burger venue come here, if you want to eat a decent burger your best of going to the local iga and getting the ingredients to make one 100% if you ain't a master professional at making burgers itl still be better then this over priced tastless meat bun.

When we went it was baron and empty, when ordering food the staff didn’t even know what was on the menu so we had to guide them to what we wanted. After food we ordered drinks to which I asked for a water for them to reply in a clueless tone “We don’t think we serve tap water here.” After that and no water we sat down after ordering our insanely overpriced food, my father getting ribs which were vastly over cooked, he then asked to replace it with a chicken burger due to the almost inedible nature of the ribs, the staff then gave him a pork burger which he didn’t want. Then once I thought this place couldn’t get worse another family strolled in requesting water to which they were supplied tap water. Overall it was insanely bad and one of my worst restaurant...
