🌄 Tomaree Head Summit Walk – 5/5
If you’re tossing up whether to do this walk, stop scrolling and just do it – your legs might scream, but your eyes will thank you! 🥾
The trail starts off by letting you know it’s not here to mess around – it’s steep. Like, “why am I already sweating in the first 2 minutes?” steep. Then come the stairs… lots and lots of stairs. You may question your life choices halfway up, but trust me, the payoff is so worth it.
The views at the summit are absolutely breathtaking – panoramic coastal magic that looks like a Windows wallpaper, but real. 🏖️ I could sit up there for hours soaking it all in (and recovering from the climb). I’d honestly do this walk again and again – it’s that spectacular.
Pro tip: Wear proper shoes, bring water, and prepare your glutes for a workout. But do NOT miss this if you get the chance. Total highlight...

Be ready with some comfy shoes and plenty of water before setting off for your adventure. The climb to the top is totally worth the stunning view from the lookout, with plenty of places to rest before coming back down. The path is very well maintained, and handrails are placed along the way should you be looking for that little bit of extra support.
On the East side you can explore the World War II Gun Emplacement, definitely worth a look, just take a hat and some sunscreen. Would absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for something to do!

The path is easy to walk and it has been built with stairs, however, it is the elevation and the steepness of the walk that caused me to be very tired.
The view is magnificent. We managed to spot a pod of dolphin (about 4 or 5) surfacing up and swimming around near the coast.
The whole walk takes about 2 hours for me. There are parking onsite, however, if you are going on a weekend or early morning, I suggest you can consider parking alittle further away from the main carpark as the main carpark has only got...
