Barney Bed — Attraction in Sydney

We purchased a Barney Bed for our 3 year old rescue dog for her 3rd birthday after I came across the company as an ad in my social media feed. I read lots of good reviews and the ideas behind the way it is designed sounded exactly right. It was easy to order, the instructions for size etc were simple to follow. Order placed on 4th June, bed received on 7th June which is fantastic compared to normal parcel delivery in our area. Again, instructions for setting up the bed were simple, and Ruby loved it straight away - she was in it and asleep within a couple of minutes of me opening it, and I hadn't even got it into the bedroom yet! Four months later, the bed lives up to all expectations, it looks as good as new even with Ruby's scratching every night to get her position "just right". There's no sagging, no marks, and so easy to run a quick vacuum over to get her hair off - the design is great for this, there's no crevices for hair to get into and impossible to get out, just straight edges. I had an issue with the zip on the cover today and just had an online chat, showed a photo, and a new cover is on the way. Fantastic customer service to match this fantastic product. This was the best money I have ever spent on a pet and will always use this product now. Ruby has also been diagnosed with arthritis and the bed also seems helpful for this. I have had dogs all my life and this is the best bed ever. Believe everything you read, I cannot recommend this bed enough!

Further update another year on (2021): The bed is still perfect and Ruby still loves it. There are only minor scratch marks visible but not even had a single thought about a replacement cover yet! And the cover gets washed every couple of weeks too. The memory foam has also completely kept its original shape and form. I haven't bought any of the linen covers, since Ruby is a scratcher I don't thing they would suit her, but I did purchase one of the brand new Barney Blankets last night....can't wait for it to arrive. I recently purchased the Barney Bed for my beloved furry Husky companion, and I must say, it has exceeded all my expectations. The bed cover was of poor quality for the price paid. It did not last more than one week; it was absolutely destroyed. I've had the Barney Bed herringbone cover too, which only lasted 1 month. Please save your money and buy from somewhere with a lower price and, in my opinion, similar quality and better customer service. I purchased a bed from Loungey and their linen cover, which I've had for over six months with no issues, and it's more affordable, too.

I flagged the issue with Barney Bed customer service. I did not flag for the herringbone one, but this linen one didn't even last a week and cost $85. Their reply is below. In short, if your dog paws her/his bed, don't buy it because it will not last. It is written on their product page, buried under a whole bunch of text in small font. It should be written in bold at the top so people can actually see the warning, as the company are clearly aware that it is a problem for them to "flag" in the first place.

I have looked into your emails and orders and would like to clarify that the linen cover you purchased is a natural fibre, therefore more delicate than the microfibre covers.
