Absolutely recommend visiting the Friday Night Market at Chinatown at around 5:30 in the afternoon if you have children and elders with you. The market isnāt too busy around the time we went, so both my kids and parents had a good time!
There arenāt many seats, but luckily we found somewhere to sit behind the trees. Personally though, I wouldnāt have mind not sitting if I didnāt have my kids with me. The vibe was great, and the smell of char-grilled meat was an added bonus to the experience.
Although itās called the Chinatown Friday Night Market, they also have a stall selling Paella. Loved their Seafood & Valenciana! Thereās multiple stalls selling Asian favourites, like fish balls and dumplings, and more. My sonās favourite was the one selling Fresh Lemonade, and my daughterās favourite was where she could get candied strawberries.
All-in-all we spent over $200; the food isnāt cheap. Itās a bit pricey, but you get variety. Itās also convenient that they accept card payments.
Definitely going back, maybe with...

This Friday night I bought the takoyaki at the busiest shop in the chinatown night market.
Itās the worst food and terrible service ever! Iād ordered and paid for my food while my friendās ordering for herself which asked for chilli sauce on her takoyaki but not on mine. The staff put chilli sauce on mine too then I said that I didnāt want it. Of course I canāt eat spicy. She was so angry! and slightly threw the food to us⦠!! Weāre just fine! However, the main reason is the food was uncooked.. itās like yucky because itās still like liquid. I canāt even use chopsticks to pick them. Iād gone back and showed to her. I donāt know, she said. ⦠Then sheās trying to finish her shift to go home. I havenāt even got any refund or āsorryā. The worst ever.
from the action of the shop I think it's not correct I think there will be an agency to help or check the quality of these...

Every Friday, without fail, I find myself here ā itās like a magnet. I always get the dumplings; theyāre crispy, flavorful, and always satisfying. One time I tried that grilled squid skewer ā looks fun, but taste-wise⦠not quite it for me.
Besides food, itās the kind of market where you end up buying things you didnāt plan to ā thereās everything from fruits and desserts to cute clips, hats, random trinkets, and even Labubu plushies! The only downside? It can get way too packed, especially later in the evening. But honestly, thatās part of the charm...
