I actually only went to the Domain to eat lunch. I was visiting the Hand Clinic at the Sydney Hospital. After first being referred to a Hand Specialist 2 years ago and waiting 8months to get into the POWH I was told I didn't have Carpel Tunnel and was sent for a nerve conduction test. Then after seeing the hand surgeon again I was sent for a ultrasound guided cortisone injection. That was really painful. A year had gone by and the same problem was happening in my left hand as well. I was sent for another nerve conduction test on that hand, but after going there, nobody knew what I was there for so I left and cancelled my appointment with the hand surgeon. They rang and moved the appointment 3 months ahead. At this visit I was referred to have a ultrasound guided cortisone injection in my left hand. I put this one off for a couple of months and had it just after Christmas. Earlier this month (Feburary 20) I found a referral to have both my wrists xrayed, so I went and did that. I came home and just moved our new empty recycling bin into its proper position and snapped the tendon in my left wrist. I went to my GP and got a referral to have an ultrasound to see if it was broken. It was. I asked if I could see the hand Specialist at the Sydney Hospital as I was told Dr Ryan was very good. I went a week later, and after explaining where I was at, the young Dr Tim Wang, said ..we've got to get to the bottom of this and sent me for a CT Scan. He said after the scan, have some lunch and come back in an hour and I'll have the results. This is why I was at the Domain. I couldn't believe the amount of people there, doing exercises, some groups running, some aerobic exercises, one woman was wearing boxing gloves and sparring with her instructor... it was a hive of activity. I returned to see Dr Chang, and there they were .. each thumb joint had a big spur growing into the tendon. So I've decided to stay with the Sydney hospital as they were on to it, especially after going to my 10am appointment at the POWH, and waited 4.5 hours and was told the Dr I was waiting to see was operating and wouldn't...
Read moreOne star is for the appalling condition of the toilets.
4 Stars for Philip Precinct which gets used for many events. On 2nd and 3rd of April it was used by Run2Cure raising money for Neuroblastoma.
Registrations on 2nd also on 3rd prior to the runs.
On the 3rd there were 'high' set portable toilets very hard to step up into and NO disabled.
The 2nd we used the permanent toilets on the corner of Hospital Road. They were in an appalling condition.
a toilet was constantly running water. So much for water restrictions.
a door had a broken lock.
a toilet door would not close.
hand dryer vent very rusted, not working and turned on at power point.
middle basin tap will not turn on.
last basin tap swivels when you you turn it on and water goes on the floor through hole in basin.
every toilet did not even flush paper away on a single pull of the chain for flushing.
Apparently the cleaners have reported some of the issues a few times. Said no-one bothers to do anything.
It was not a pleasant experience going...
Read moreCity of Sydney did such a good job of designing this place wen they did, so it didn't get swallowed up by a cookie cutter high rise, it's got a bit of everything and so close to the city, they even managed to get a huge semi hidden multi level 🚗 carpark in their with a underground moving walk-way to get you to the city. What is actually the longest in the southern hemisphere. With the botanical gardens rite next door, also it's got sculptures dotted evrywer + a giant expanse of grass making room for a bit of...
