I’ve been with NRMA for over 7 years, but after this recent experience, I can confidently say I will never return.
My daughter was involved in a serious car accident on 30 June, and what followed was an absolute nightmare. I’ve lodged multiple claims, spent countless hours on the phone, and been transferred between departments with no one taking responsibility. Every single time I had to re-explain the situation from scratch—like I was calling for the first time.
One staff member told me everything was sorted, only to later find out that apparently the payment didn’t go through—but when I checked with my bank, they confirmed the payment was authorised. So clearly, the error was on NRMA’s side.
I begged to speak to a manager or supervisor, but those requests were either denied or ignored. I was promised callbacks that never came. Even after lodging several complaints, I’ve received zero support.
All this while my daughter has been in hospital recovering, and I’ve had to carry the weight of NRMA’s incompetence on top of that. The mental and emotional stress this has caused is beyond words.

Read moreI show just show up the blacktown nrma store and waited in line outside the nrma shore with 2 people in front of me. 1st guy was an elderly man about 70 years and the 2nd guy was about 50 years old. The girl at the front was talking the 1st man and was saying he has to use the phone as claims only are only via phone. And all they can do is give him the number to call for claim and is not aloud to come inside to actually speak to a person. The 1st man was grumpy and left. The 2nd man in front of me also had a claim and got told the same thing and he left.
Now if I had any problems with my phone and could not reach nrma I would go to the nrma store as well and if I was told to basically go away and use the phone after that I would not be a happy customer.
