Ordered the Smoked Salmon sourdough, which on the menu states it is accompanied by avocado, capsicum, rocket and herb mayo on sourdough. Got a tiny ring of smoked salmon on a bunch of scrambled eggs on two pieces of sliced white bread, with woolies beetroot hummus smeared on the side. It's actually impressive how virtually no ingredient matched the menu, priced at $21 for something I could've made at home for $5. Asked the waiter to return the dish to replace the white bread with sourdough; he said there was none available. (On mother's day) my mum ordered the avo chicken and haloumi salad. Not only was the haloumi razor thin, but there was a rock in her salad. The chicken was nicely spiced but overcooked and dry. This was by the far worst cafè I've had the displeasure of trying. It's clear the owner is cost cutting, likely trying to sell this business to someone else. Whoever buys this cafe from them - please, give them the most lowball offer you can. The staff were nice, and the atmosphere was decent but nothing special. Edit: after checking out pics of the menu online, it looks like the barista mixed up my smoked salmon bruschetta order with the smoked salmon brekky. Regardless, I won't be going back here.

Ordered the Canadian breakfast on Sunday afternoon. I sat directly facing the kitchen. Saw that the girl in the kitchen facing behind was preparing my dish. Notice that she was cutting the fruits and plated with bare hands with no gloves. then I saw the same girl using the same right hand to take out a raw bacon which is super unhygienic plus unsafe as I’m pregnant. I’ve told the person in charge I want to talk to the manager about this, manager is not working on Sunday. The person in charge apologies and change the fruits and a pancake for me. However, when the person in charge went in to the kitchen and informed the girl about the incident and making new fruits and the top part of the pancake, they then closed the kitchen door and make the replacement fruit. I pass it to my husband to eat the new served fruit with pancake as I’m not feeling comfortable so I had the scramble egg, bacon and one slice pancake. During the night, I had some stomach pain and mild diarrhoea. Owner or manager, I noticed you have cctv, please check on cctv to monitor staff hygiene in preparing the food to the customer. Thank you.

Great coffee shop hiding in the corner of westpoint! I visited this coffee shop on a Sunday after dropping off my wife for work. I usually don’t go to this one because I thought it’s probably not the best given the massage next door I had was disappointing. But I found out that I was wrong very soon after I sat down. Ordered coffee, egg Benedict and scones for brunch and I am very happy with the service and quality that I received today, compared to most the other cafe I have usually been to on other Sundays. Waitress are friendly and helpful. Food and presentation are great and I wanted to grab another coffee before I go but then realise it is a very busy cafe, all seats are now taken and long cue waiting for take always… Oh well, I’ll just return next Sunday for my second coffee!

I used to live in Blacktown. This place was amazing and the best cafe in town. Good looking, tasty food for a good price. I used to go every week and it was packed.

I went today for the first time in a long while. The food standards have dropped massively, and the place was half full - on a Sunday brunch time! The whole vibe just screams new owner cutting costs. I even looked at photos of the food in my phone just to make sure I wasn’t misremembering.

My advice to the management is to get your food standards back and find a price that works. I know it’s tough running a small business but the value is now way off. I’d rather pay 80 for my family and have a good experience than pay 60 and come here complaining. You even managed to shortchange my kids meal - 4 nuggets instead of 6. You said it was a mistake and fixed it, but I can’t help feel it was deliberate when considering everything else.

Please get your standards back - I used to love this place. I’ll give it one more shot next time I’m in town. From the emptiness of the cafe I’d say a lot of people...
