Parry Park is an absolute gem, and I can't help but gush about the incredible tranquility it offers. Nestled right in the heart of the park, I discovered a sanctuary of peace that seemed to transport me to another world.
As I sat alone in the center of Parry Park, I realized that there is no greater solace than what this place provides. The gentle breeze wrapped around me like a comforting embrace, and I couldn't resist the urge to lay down on the lush, green grass beneath me.
This park is a symphony of serenity, where the worries of the world simply fade away. The stillness is punctuated only by the soft rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of birds. It's a place where nature's beauty takes center stage, and the stresses of daily life are silenced.
My visit to Parry Park was nothing short of a spiritual experience. Each moment spent there felt like a precious gift from Mother Nature herself. I can't wait to return to this haven of tranquility every day, to reconnect with the serenity it offers and savor the beauty of the natural world. Parry Park is not just a place; it's a sanctuary for the soul, a reminder of the profound peace that exists within the...
Read moreHonestly, this park was closed for two years, 'making a huge park for everyone with a water park, etc,' but the result is so disappointing. It is a tiny park, with a set of 5 swings, a slide, and a spinning top. On the other side, there is a toddlers playground, with a sand and water play thing. It's very tiny, compared to the size of ground Parry Park has. Another thing is that the bathrooms are always locked and stink, and there is a water bubbler right in front of the toilets. The other water bubbles are clogged and have slimy fungus, and the water collecting at the bottom is green and slimes, but people still drink from it. It's not a pleasant place, but for walking and picnicking, it is OK. There is a bike track, so mostly cyclists, kids, are tiding there, and that's the good part. There are benches, picnic tables, and also a hotplate. So frankly, nope, not going there due to that, but for biking and...
Read moreI am absolutely appalled that Parry park has five swings and not a single one is made for babies or toddlers. This is supposed to be a family-friendly park, yet the youngest members of our community — and their parents — are completely excluded from something as basic as a swing.
Flat or belt swings are unsafe for small children, so this isn’t just disappointing, it’s dangerous and discriminatory. It shows a total lack of consideration for families with young kids, despite us being ratepayers and regular park users.
It would cost next to nothing to install a single baby swing, yet the council has chosen to ignore the needs of an entire age group. Until this is fixed, this playground cannot be called inclusive or safe...
