I recently visited Shelly Park in Cronulla and was thoroughly impressed with the amenities and overall atmosphere of the park. The playground located in the center of the park is perfect for kids of all ages, with plenty of fun and challenging equipment to keep them entertained for hours.
But the real standout feature of Shelly Park is the large open plain located just outside of the playground. This area is perfect for people who want to play their own games and activities, whether it be soccer, frisbee, or just having a casual picnic.
One of the other great features of Shelly Park is its location on the shore of a beautiful rock pool. The pool is clean and well-maintained, and is a great spot to cool off on a hot day.
And finally, the yellow pavilion located within the park is a great addition, with showers, toilets, and changerooms available for visitors to use.
Overall, I would give Shelly Park a solid 5 out of 5 stars. It is a great place for families to visit and spend the day, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and enjoyable...
Read moreShelly Park is a large park adjacent to the Esplanade Walkway on the Cronulla Peninsula. This is a fantastic park to come to for a BBQ in Cronulla. It’s very wheelchair friendly with the rock pool having a ramp to push the chair into the water which is fantastic. We have taken advantage of this many a time. There’s quite a bit of street parking but this can fill very quickly as this park is so popular. The BBQ, chairs and tables are first come, first served. The toilet amenities are really good and there’s a wonderful walking track along the water. There’s very good shower/changing room facilities for people after swimming on the beach or the pool. There’s also a very good fenced children’s playground, complete with a swing for wheelchairs. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash and are prohibited within 10 metres of the fenced playground. There is a kiosk and a restaurant across the road. We use this park a lot because it’s soo convenient. We love it. Thumbs...
Read moreAn excellent park located right on the water. Toilets, park benches, BBQ facilities, water fountains, showers and plenty of grass. Some shade from the trees. Swimming available at the ocean pool. Locals built the initial pool in the early 1900s, but it only became a formalised ocean baths when the walls were put in under the Unemployment Benefit Scheme in the 1930s. Minimal rolling waves at this beach. Rocks on the shoreline - it’s not your normal “beach.” You can enter the water - but there are rocks at the shoreline. A shoreline walking track passes through the park. The water located to the south of the ocean pool is used by divers to...
