This is a great short walk. But can be linked to the Clifftop Walk or a walk around Watsons bay etc. the walk itself is accessed from Camp Cove beach. There is usually some parking around here especially in winter. On warmer days or beach days it can be much more difficult. Combining a ferry ride from the city to Watsons Bay and walking from there can make it a day adventure. The walk is a loop that turns back in itself. Taking us about 1 hour with plenty of stops and some rock hopping. There are plenty of great places for viewing the harbour and the Pacific Ocean. The harbour side gun emplacements are interesting, but those along the sea cliffs are currently fenced off. The lighthouse is cute, the views are grand and expansive. Plenty of history. Though it would be. Ice if there was more about first nations activities around here. We went on a beautiful Sunday and it wasn’t too crowded although some days it...

The short South Head Heritage trail has something for everyone: incredible beach and harbour views, military remnants giving you a glimpse into history, and excellent whale watching opportunities. Starting at Camp Cove in Watsons Bay, this short walk takes you on a stroll along an 1870s cobblestone road past Lady Bay Beach, before reaching historic Hornby Lighthouse with its distinctive red and white stripes. Take some time to explore the gun emplacements and keep your eyes open if you’re there during whale watching season. The spectacular views of Sydney are sure to astound you, with Sydney Harbour to the west, Middle Head and North Head to the north, and the expansive Pacific Ocean to the east; and leave you wanting to explore more of Sydney Harbour...

Took a scenic ferry ride from Manly to Watsons Bay—a journey filled with breathtaking views of the coastline. The trail itself is conveniently located near the wharf at Watsons Bay, making it easily accessible.

Despite its short and easy nature, the trail offers a wealth of astonishing views along the way. From rugged cliffs to panoramic vistas of the ocean, every step unveils a new aspect of natural beauty.

South Head Heritage Trail is a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, offering a serene journey through some of Sydney's most...
