I recently visited the Beach Club at Watson's Bay Boutique Hotel and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I decided to order a bowl of fries with dip, which cost me a staggering $13.90. However, when the dish finally arrived after a lengthy 25-minute wait, I was shocked to find that the quantity of chips was close to nothing, especially considering the hefty price tag. The lackluster portion size of the fries left me feeling unsatisfied and even somewhat ripped off. It's disheartening to pay such a high price for what essentially amounted to a handful of chips. The value for money was severely lacking in this aspect. To make matters worse, the service provided by the girl taking my order was subpar, to say the least. Her customer service skills were non-existent, and it was evident that she could benefit from some training in this area. Her indifference and lack of attentiveness further exacerbated my disappointment with the overall experience. If there was an option to give a rating of 0, I would certainly choose it. The combination of exorbitant prices, minuscule portions, lengthy waiting times, and poor customer service makes it difficult for me to recommend the Beach Club at Watson's Bay Boutique Hotel. I hope that they take these criticisms constructively and work towards improving their offerings and service quality in the future.

Terrible fish and chips. Fish fell apart and one piece had a bit of blue plastic in it (see photo) so it's obviously frozen and not fresh. My friend ordered a bucket of prawns and when she was almost done eating staff came around asking if she remembered her buzzer number and then proceeded to ask every patron with a bucket of prawns the same question. So random I think a patron stole someone else's prawns and they were trying to find out who - just shows how broken their system is. Very expensive food and drink. They charge you a credit card surcharge without telling you until it's too late. I didn't try the toilets as I was worried they might be just as terrible. They have big group tables if you are crazy enough to hold an event there. Awful service, staff just standing around chatting and having a good time. Other patrons are rude and don't understand how to queue up. Venue is actually nice and had a decent view. It is a hassle to get to unless you rely on the ferry to turn up on time. One good thing is if you sit near the front, you can see the ferry arrive and quickly exit the venue. I won't be back.

The service and management at this establishment leave much to be desired, offering a quality of service below that of typical pubs. While the location and view draw in customers, the management must prioritize improving the service provided. Basic necessities such as clean tables, water, and cutlery are not readily available, requiring guests to retrieve them from the bar themselves. Most notably, I made a reservation for a birthday celebration and requested a special arrangement. However, upon arrival, I was simply told to find any available seat, which disregarded the special request entirely. If special requests cannot be accommodated, it would be more appropriate not to offer this option to customers. I was left ashamed in front of my guests. During my visit, I ordered the Burrata Caprese, Fried Calamari, Roasted Barramundi, and Mushroom Pizza. The entrée and pizza were enjoyable; however, the Barramundi was fried excessively, resulting in an overly oily dish that stood out as one of the least satisfying seafood experiences I've had. Calamari was too salty.

Food does not compensate for poor weather S33°50.582' E151°16.912' The ferry pulls up to the doorstep of this beer garden, restaurant, multilevel beach club and hotel. It is tradition sit in the beer garden at sunset and watch the sun fall behind Harbour Bridge in the far. The weather in September 2018 was not that great outside. We went inside to count the number of big white balloons, each for a hen party in full swing. After several beers and looking at the mandatory sunset over Harbour Bridge, we ordered the - also - mandatory fish & chips from the counter for AU$28 each. Nutritious, but not that rich of flavours or special to justify the ferry to Watsons Bay in its own right. Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel falls short without the beach weather. The food does not compensate for such moments.
