Thredbo Bobsled — Attraction in Thredbo

The alpine coaster is so much fun! We took our 6 and 5 year old girls and doubled with them. We had bought winter adventure passes in advance for the coaster and the gondola. But we had so much fun the first time we ended up buying another round for the alpine coaster and there was only a few minute wait to top up our thredbo card with another ride. The wait for the ride was about 10 mins for us each time. I was nervous about the safety of this before coming but the sleds are sturdy with bumpers and have locking/tight seat belts and the brake is very reactive but not in a dangerous way. We had 2 extremely fun rides where we went nearly no brakes the whole time. With that said, we heard people complaining both times to the staff about their experience being poor due to people stopping on the track causing them to have to come to a complete stop. So I think it could be hit and miss depending on who you get in front of you but we had 2 great experiences and I do recommend it to others. The staff were also incredibly friendly...

Dangerous. Spend 30 $ and watch your child for 4 minutes avoid death by irresponsible users. People in front of you will stop to take photos and place everyone at risk. Operators do repeat not to stop, but, as told by management via email, it is a self operated experience and they can do nothing about people not following instructions. Thankfully, my son is a responsible kid and did not go down full speed, thus avoiding a serious accident. A very expensive way to get hurt if people are allowed to do what they want and management will not reprimand this...

Alpine coaster is utterly abysmal. 2 hour queue then to get told the 6 rides we purchased couldn't be used by 6 people. Unlike everywhere else in the world buying in bulk to save money doesn't apply here - I got stung another $84 for the difference to si gle ride tickets. Appalling customer service and the website is even worse. Will never ever visit again and could easily lower the rating to negative or 0 stars if it...
