Absolutely Stunning & Quintessentially Victorian Coastline! As a Local Guide who's explored many fantastic spots, Torquay Front Beach truly stands out as a gem and easily earns its 5 stars. It's the quintessential Victorian beach experience! From the moment you arrive, the golden sands stretch invitingly, met by the sparkling turquoise waters of Bass Strait. Whether the sun is shining or there's a dramatic sky, the scenery is always breathtaking. We loved watching the surfers out on the waves, a true hallmark of this famous coastal town. The atmosphere here is just perfect – lively but relaxing. There's ample space for everyone, whether you're building sandcastles with the family, taking a refreshing dip, or just enjoying a peaceful stroll along the shore. The cleanliness of the beach is consistently excellent, and the facilities nearby (cafes, shops, and ample parking) make a visit incredibly convenient. It's more than just a beach; it's the gateway to the Great Ocean Road and a vibrant hub for surf culture. If you're anywhere near the Bellarine Peninsula or the Surf Coast, a stop here is an absolute must. Torquay Beach embodies everything you love about a perfect...

If you're looking for a fantastic beach to spend quality time with your family, Torquay Beach is the place to go! The beach is incredibly family-friendly, with gentle waves and soft sand that's perfect for kids to play on. Our children absolutely loved building sandcastles and splashing around in the shallow waters.

Getting to Torquay Beach from Melbourne CBD is a breeze - it only takes about 1 to 1.5 hours by car. The drive itself is quite pleasant, with beautiful scenery along the way.

One of the great things about Torquay Beach is that the surrounding area has plenty of excellent restaurants. After a fun-filled day at the beach, you can easily find a nice spot to grab a bite to eat with the family. There's a good variety of cuisines available, so everyone can find something they like.

Overall, Torquay Beach is an ideal destination for a family day out. With its kid-friendly atmosphere, convenient location, and great nearby amenities, it ticks all the boxes for a perfect beach getaway. Highly recommended for families looking to create some wonderful...

A very lovely beach and superb view of the ocean. High swell can be seen regularly. The beach features an arc view of the ocean and it’s sloping upwards towards a walkway. There is a toilet at the middle of the walkway and another one with shower facilities at the end near the Torquay surf rescue club. Unique to that is the hot water shower available and it’s free. There’s ample parking near the beach and also a nice cafe with seating at the car park. Imagine parking your car or bike there and grab a cuppa and some hot pies and sit at the bench that overlooks the ocean. What a way to enjoy a meal by the ocean.

The beach links to another trail that runs all the way to Bells beach and beyond if you have the stamina and time to have a go. There are walkers and runners who frequent that trail. Connected to the other end is the path that leads to the Torquay iconic cafe front. Lots of nice cozy cafe and restaurants...

Absolutely stunning watching the morning sun rise over the beach. If you're not a fan of dogs it may upset you because it was puppy paradise with no less than 30 furry friends hanging out with their owners, playing in the water, on the beach, off lead/on lead and dear little Peggy who had accidentally stole someone's ball according to her Mum. It was just magical to see happy floofs everywhere. After the early morning rush came the families and sunbathers. A perfect set of tiny shore breakers to help the little ones learn the ropes, in September I would highly recommend a wetsuit, at 14 degrees little people get a touch chilly. Totally 1 of my top 5 reasons for coming back in November but this time with our own dog too!

Torquay Beach – A Serene Stop on the way to Great Ocean Road We made a short stop at Torquay Beach during our Great Ocean Road trip, and it turned out to be a delightful highlight! The beach is stunning, with golden sands and clear blue water stretching as far as the eye can see. We enjoyed a peaceful stroll along the shoreline on a lovely, sunny day, soaking in the calm and beauty of the surroundings. The beach café added to the charm – we managed to grab a coffee and simply unwind while watching the waves roll in. The whole atmosphere was refreshing and relaxing. Whether you're passing through or planning to stay longer, Torquay Beach is a wonderful place to visit. Highly recommended!
