yeah great marina, staff are great, they meet u at the front in a tender and guide u in. quiet a big marina and a long way around to get to the new IGA, but this is a great new shop recently opened. toilets and showers are ok nothing flash. washing machines are there also. the fuel wharf can be a bit hard to find a sign would be handy, u don't need to call to book a spot can just pull up when u are ready. be handy to have a couple of temporary berths available to tie up to after getting fuel, so u can duck up and grab some groceries. there's plenty of shops around, so the whole marina and esplanade has an awesome vibe, heaps happening. plenty of nice restaurants close by. the marina is not expensive either, was great value . also some huge GT's lurking around a couple of big ones showed up when we were cleaning a tuna. massive !but end of the day if u are in the marina you are not enjoying the whitsundays. the best place is out of the marina, exploring the whitsunday group :) but a great spot to come to every third night or so depending on your boat, refuel, fill up on water, supplies, and get rid of rubbish. it's the only working marina now in the whitsundays. it survived the cyclone pretty well, although other marinas copped a hiding and are all closed. some are rebuilding though which is great. the hamilton isl airport is literally walking distance from the marina so this is very handy. it's paradise...

Today we find a different scene of vegetation destruction which is now been very well set to regrow. We missed our usual welcome wine bottle gift on our bed for return visitors but l would believe it was simply a mishap as the computers recording our visits would have gone down as well as an incredible amount of company capital. So such a minor transgression is totally forgiven and we will continue to enjoy a yearly visit with renewed joy to enjoy the magnificent restoration. Please come and enjoy with us a wonderful area that we believe clearly out does...
