Beach Club starts from the moment you arrive on Hamilton Island. You’re met by beach club staff at the airport who transfer you seamlessly to your accommodation. ||The rooms are beautifully appointed and leave nothing to be desired. I was fortunate enough to score a rather scenic view across the cove from my room. There are two “room service” visits per day, once in the morning and then again in the evening. There wasn’t a day where my room was left dirty or unreplenished. ||The club offers an infinity pool with direct access to a private section of beach. Drink and food service is available to you in those locations should you please. ||They offer a transfer service to anywhere on the island which is useful if you’ve time important activities such as jet skiing or otherwise. That said, most places on the island are a ten/fifteen minute walk at the most so if you’re remotely mobile you won’t need much use of the service but it’s there should you wish. ||Overall I was impressed with the beach club and it certainly outranks some of the other accommodations visible on the island. Before delving into the “negative” I’d like to recognise a staff member called Josh (the Scottish fella). Josh is marvellous at his role and was always on hand to help. Without doubt one of the best member of staff on the island. Big up Josh. ||Now, sadly not all staff were as great as Josh. One ginger haired girl was particularly unpleasant and incorrectly tried to bill us for soft drinks which were free at the bar for ourselves. She had a bit of an attitude which was disappointing given how nice most of the staff were. There are also some strange rules, mainly to do with the pool. ||Reminiscent of a 3* all inclusive Thomas Cook resort in Alicante or a similar low-budget location - the pool loungers were hogged by various persons during my stay and the staff never did anything to address this. I’d have hoped the practice of placing a towel on a lounger and buggering off for hours would be outlawed at an upmarket hotel, clearly it was not. ||However, this didn’t prevent my brother and I being subject to nonsensical rules from some members of staff. Due to there being no loungers to use, my brother and I set out belongings down on one of the many tables and chairs just next to the pool. To note, these tables are mere metres from the poolside. ||This didn’t stop a rather lanky staff member from moving our belongings and telling us we couldn’t sit there unless putting on a t shirt and footwear. How ludicrous of a rule when A) people in swim wear are sat/stood about two metres infront of us and B) when there are no loungers free due to selfish persons hogging them with towels. Maybe address the cause rather than the symptoms and do so with politeness instead of in sharp tongue. ||One evening I was swimming and was told by staff to move to off the loungers I’d finally managed to get because dinner service was starting. He also stated that half of the pool was not to be used. The irony was that there wasn’t a single soul at any dinner table, outside or in, for 30 minutes after Mr Bossy had given his orders! Needless to say I did not construct my leisure to one half of the pool although I apologise to the ghost couple on table four for ruining their dinner. ||All in all, it’s a great venue with nice cocktails, mostly lovely staff and charming rooms. It was however soured by some rude staff who could do with some refresher...
Read moreI had booked our Honeymoon stay at Beach Club months in advance and my wife and I were so excited upon arrival to Hamilton Island - that said we were consistently shocked by the level of service and how all of our expectations were substantially exceeded! Our trip started with a ride from the airport and and welcome drink in the very luxurious lounge. The resort itself is immaculate with incredible views I never tired of looking at - whether it be over our large balcony, at the gorgeous infinity pool, or from a beach chair / hammock. The beach and pool never got too crowded, and there was always plenty of space for us at both. I loved our room - waking up to the sound of crashing waves every day was a treat I’m going to dearly miss. The rooms had substantial amount of space and a large bed, with great lighting options and a bountiful balcony. The Aesop products they had in the bathroom were very nice as well. Overall the resort exudes an air of elegance and sophistication without feeling stuffy at all. I think this is well represented by the cockatoos and wallabies all over the green areas of the property, which were so cute and never felt invasive. Staff were all so, attentive, friendly and communicative - I need to shout out everyone I can remember including Anna, May, Alex, Luke, Josh, Jasmine and Dalton. The team handled all of luggage to and from the hotel, provided free rides to anywhere on the Island we wished to go and back, (honestly glad we didn’t opt for a buggy due to that!) and even assisted with securing us reservations for trips and activities! The staff offered us congratulations at every opportunity including a free bottle of champagne!||A few points I wanted to note, which will not detract from a 5 star review and me saving up to come here again - I feel the need to say as I didn’t see these points crop up and would want to know as a potential customer. I plan to write more individual reviews where possible:||I opted for the “Rose petals, Piper Heidseick Champagne and Chocolate Dipped Strawberries” for my wife to be surprised by when we walked in (she LOVED the roses it!) but the combined platters were laughably small when you consider the whole package was $285 AUD (~$180 USD currently).||Communication could be improved between teams and customers. Being from the US and wanting to plan as much as possible in advance, I used the website to book several tours, experiences etc and received a “confirmation” screen or a “request to book received” screen (???) but never got an email confirmation or had a credit card transaction registered. Nervous, I tried to email all departments that I could and used live chat only to never got a response. It was only when I borrowed a friend’s phone with an international plan and called in SUPER late EST that I uncovered my transactions failed (weird because they worked for other things I was prebooking in Australia) or my reservation was never secured. No trouble as it was sorted when we arrived, although I wonder if that could be addressed if we visited during a busy time. ||Again, none of this can detract from my over the moon love of this resort - I mean that, and very much hope to come...

Our experience at The Beach Club Hotel was absolutely incredible—we loved every minute of it! The location is breathtaking, and the accommodation was flawless. We stayed in an upper-level room with direct views of Catseye Beach, framed by swaying palm trees, creating the perfect tropical escape.
While the weather was unpredictable at times, it didn’t affect our trip at all. Rain showers would come and go, but the sun always came back out. The gusty evenings were particularly soothing for me, making for peaceful moments on the balcony—something I truly loved.
Exceptional Service – The Best We’ve Experienced
A special mention must go to the outstanding service, which was easily among the best we’ve ever experienced at any hotel or resort—truly first-class.
Hamish greeted us upon arrival with warmth and a wealth of information, setting the tone for an amazing stay. Eve provided wonderful dinner service, making us feel welcomed and well cared for.
Liv was an absolute gem at breakfast—friendly, attentive, and always going the extra mile. Our morning chats with her, along with her helpful recommendations, made our stay even more special.
Giamichelle (CocaChu) and Cian (Mariners) were fantastic, adding to our exceptional dining experiences.
May was super friendly and always accommodating.
Silvia went above and beyond, being particularly mindful of our dietary requirements.
We left feeling incredibly grateful to have met such genuine and kind-hearted people.
Things to Consider Book a Buggy – At least for one day, to explore the entire island. Cruising around and mapping out the island was a fun and worthwhile experience. Wildlife Park – While there isn’t much to see, it’s worth a visit if included in your package. I wouldn’t have been too keen on paying the full price upfront, as we were done in about 20 minutes. Gym – Well laid out and an enjoyable place to train. Walk to the Marina – Just a 10-minute stroll from Beach Club, and we loved every step of it. One Tree Hill – A must-visit for its breathtaking views. Passage Peak Hike – An absolute must-do! The views from the top surpass even One Tree Hill—simply spectacular.
Final Thoughts
Our stay at The Beach Club Hotel was nothing short of amazing. We initially debated between Beach Club and Qualia, and we’re so glad we chose Beach Club. Qualia feels quite seperated from the Island, which may be good for someone wanting that, however Beach Club’s location offers stunning beachfront views, more central to the marina, and quite frankly everything else, which, in our opinion, were far superior.
We wholeheartedly recommend Beach Club—a truly unforgettable...
