I was at the shop at about 4pm today. I waited at the cash counter as there was no one there, then a young girl in uniform came. After checking out my items, she told me the total. I stopped loading my shopping bag to get my card from my handbag for payment, the cashier just watched me. So I asked her to help to put the rest of my shopping into the bag. I started getting the feeling that their customer service is poor.
After, I had to ask her for the receipt. As I did a run through, I realised that the first two items on the receipt did not belong to me (I wasn’t too surprised either). I turned around and showed it to the same cashier who nonchalantly said she would refund me the $9 in cash. No apologies, explanation or surprise from her. Therefore, I asked if incident like this happens often at the shop, she said no and that the 2 items belonged to the customer before me. So does it mean the staff are not trained well and they don’t care about their customers?

I visited and was asked by a young staff member to leave my backpack at the counter instead of having it checked during shopping. I was confused, as this was the first time I’d been asked to do that. I assumed it might be a new policy, so I left my bag with the staff.
However, when I returned to the counter, there was no one there supervising the bags -mine was just left on the ground.

Read moreThe Southlands store has lots of selection, I found a specific curry paste which is not available at my local Asian stores. The shopping environment, Chinese new year decorations and background music is nice. The store is also very clean. Only feedback I have is "customer service follow-through", so one example (which happened to me) is that I asked for a box to carry my items and one of the shop assistants pointed me to a trolley with flattened boxes.
