The score of 5 stars is for the whole village. The gate on its' own is not spectacular, but as part of this amazing village in an extremely beautiful region of Austria it becomes unmissable. Take your time to explore every street and passageway, every shop and every view point. Legend has it that Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned in the ruined castle here whilst returning from the crusades, however the dates do not match and it would have had to be an earlier castle than the visible ruin.
