Where should I even begin... I haven't had such a bad experience in a long time. Firstly, we waited for 30-40 minutes for a waiter to welcome us/give us the menu...and no the waiter didn't come "at his free will" - albeit he noticed our presence, he came to us only after we demanded to be served. Then after ordering, of course, we waited for ages to get our drinks and dishes - one will also himself how long it takes to prepare ice cream and salads. The salad was also a "scam". I explicitly asked the waiter what is included in the couscous salad as I wanted something refreshing in the heat. He painted me the best picture of the most delicious and fresh salad on earth. He reassured me that it included a wide variety of fresh veggies etc. ... Ha-Ha I recieved a whole bowl of couscous with some leftovers of a cucumber inside. It had no dressing, no taste, no freshness, no nothing. 10 Euro for this sad joke, is just inappropriate as well as 4 euro for Soda-Zitrone. Moreover, they served us a basket of bread. One of my friends ordered a VERY SMALL plate of munchies for the wine for 8 euro and we supposed that the bread came with it. Of course, it didn't. At the end they charged us salty for the consumed bread although they did not "warn us". THEY DIDNT EVEN GIVE US NAPKINS. The whole experience was just a hot mess. There is so much more I can complain about, but I think I have proven my point.

The best find in the beautiful Wachau Valley, under a bright new ownership this place has the best there is to find in Wachau .Easy to find if you go by foot or bike ,has all the ingredients of a fine gem on reasonable prices with the authentic austrian touch managed beautifully by the team that provides with the best food and of course wine ,which will make one feel he lives a fairytale. The Marille Knodel is a delight ,together with the Jause plates one can enjoy here and even hot food ( which in such establishments is hard to find), a true experience in a beautiful quiet landscape .Just magic .Thank you for having us and congrats for the owners for making this place feel like home .

My worst experience I ever had. I truly dont understand why the wait staff was so incredible rude and angry. We just wanted to have some warm food and the waiter at first said he cant clean the table because we cant sit there eventhough it was a table like the other one. Secondly most of the stuff on the bar such as vodka, lime, cola we dont have. We ordered couple of beers, they were warm as dog piss. The fish wasnt tasty at all, it was all blend, the schweinsbraten was so damm salty that the cook must have put there a gallon of salt, even Salt Bae doesnt use so much salt. All at once the waiter was the most rudest person I have ever met. I can see that he is so burned out of his career, that he should finish straight away. I can see that all the reviews are true. This restaurant I will never visit again and I hope they will change the wait staff very soon. The chefs should really think more about the staff, the organization and the reviews they get, because it...

Last evening we arrived very late in Dürnstein, and this was the only place still open. I ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad. My Caesar Salad was with a ton of arugula and a ton of pork ham. It was very salty, the worst salad I've ever eaten. The owner insulted the waitress and shouted at her in front of the customers. I felt bad for the waitress. We paid the bill and wanted to leave. The owner counted the buns in the basket on the table and the buns on the bill and claimed that one bun does not appear on the bill. The owner yelled at the waitress that if we left without paying, it would be theft and the money for the bun would be deducted from her salary. We left the waitress 5 Euros for a bun and left. It was the worst restaurant...
