There are two Element 3 shops in Kitzbuhel - I would recommend the branch on Josef-Herold-straße; it is closer to the ski lift and Tom and his team are very friendly. We hired skis boots and helmets for four people. We were all please with the equipment. (A small thing but the magnetic clasps on the helmets made it easy doing up and undoing the clasp with gloves - little things that work well, make me smile.) I have never been to a shop with such friendly staff - it was a pleasure going there. There is a free storage facility under the shop to keep equipment over night. There was no space the first night, but they offered to keep our shoes in a bag in the shop during the day while we skied, so we didn't have to walk in our ski boots back to the hotel in the evening and next day there was space in their lockers. Our flight was delayed and they refunded the day of equipment hire we did not use. I have got to say it again, I have never experienced such wit and charm from staff serving me in a shop. We hired skiis and boots for the family on the first day of Feb half term (Sunday). The shop was busy as expected. We had the worst service I have ever had in a hire shop - my young daughter could not find boots that fitted her and the staff were not interested in helping. They were busy and stressed which I understand but they were not helpful and I had to tread carefully and persuade them to find a solution. I was told that “there are many people in the shop and they cannot spend so long finding boots for just one person”.
