Brucknerhaus Linz — Attraction in Linz

While on a teacher exchange, I was fortunate enough to hear two musical performances on back to back nights. The first night was a full symphonic orchestra with works by Mozart and Beethoven. The second night was a performance by the fantastic Voestalpine symphonic bass orchestra. While listening on the first night I noticed how balanced the sound from each instrument seemed to be. I went to Billy Harper quintet concert, it was so amazing and so beautiful. There were some little points though. One is that the it would be so nice if the person who talked before the concert started would have talked in English. And the second matter is about the audience , they were clapping in the middle of the pieces after each solo. Which is a cultural matter I think but it s not respectful to the musicians anyway. Jedes Konzert ist ein Erlebnis, welches ich gerne in Erinnerung behalte. Das gesamte Haus ist gemütlich und geräumig eingerichtet, der Eingangsbereich, Foyer, Flure, Garderobe sind großzügig ausgebaut. Schon beim Betreten des Haupteinganges wird man wie auf einer großen Gala empfangen (roter Teppich, Beleuchtungen, bei besonderen Anlässen posieren schöne Fahrzeuge am Vorplatz), vom Foyer aus blickt man ins Grüne, auf die Kapelle Pöstlingberg und auf die Donau. Das Personal ist durchweg freundlich und kompetent, alles ist sehr professionell und ergibt somit ein entspanntes Umfeld. Direkt vor dem Haupteingang befindet sich eine Zufahrt zum Ein/Aussteigen, Behindertengerechte Parkplätze und eine kostengünstige Tiefgarage, ebenso eine Station, um städtische Leihfahrräder zu parken und einige öffentliche Parkplätze (ab gewissen Zeiten kostenfrei) an der Hauptstraße. Das gesamte Team des Brucknerhauses bemüht sich sichtlich, ihren Gästen des Abends eine lohnenswerte Auszeit, Entspannung und ein Erlebnis beim Besuch zu bescheren.
