Upper Austria. literature Museum The Upper Austria furnished in 1993. Literary Museum is housed in the former "apartment" of Adalbert Stifter on the 2nd floor of the house. In five rooms examples of Upper Austria. Literary history from about 800 to the present presented. In 2013, the presentation was completely redesigned.
In all rooms original furniture from the possession of Adalbert Stifter and paintings by him and other artists are included in the design, including valuable loans from Upper Austria. State Museum. New arrivals from the Nordico - Stadtmuseum Linz are the marriage bed of Stifter (with bedside tables), the dying sofa and the two paintings "Lunar landscape", c. 1850, and "Landscape study with group of houses and creek" by Vyšší Brod (Hohenfurth), 1841, by Adalbert Stifter.
Works, realities and photographs by around 30 authors are on show, many exhibits are on view for the first time, such as a "Hermes Baby", Thomas Bernhards' travel typewriter. In addition, there are audiovisual stations; On a digital screen wall, occasionally micro-exhibitions are shown.
