Ristorante La Ruffa - Donaulände (ehemals Amici) — Restaurant in Linz

This evening’s experience was surprisingly disappointing at this restaurant for me. Only the service was ok-ish, slightly arrogant though. The Aperol Spritz looked good, but tasted more like sparkling water than Prosecco. And that’s unfair! The ingredients on the pizza I ordered were not fresh and they had to be fresh and tasty, by default. Otherwise better don’t offer a pizza with rucola, figs and nuts, which were obviously the cheapest possible on the market. The pizza didn’t look good either. The last time I was there I had a Vegetariana which was way better done. My friend was happy with her pizza, so I guess that one could be also satisfied. Really lovely place & outstanding italian cuisine. We go there really often, also to the other locations of la Ruffa in Linz. Lately we don’t feel comfortable there anymore. We noticed one waitor in specific who seems careless and gets rude to guests the last three times we’ve been there. He is kind of disrespecting, also to us, no boundaries, it’s not funny, it’s just irritating why he’s behaving like that. Wanted to go there yesterday, same happened just asking for a table. Ten stars. A friend of mine and I ended up accidentally in this restaurant on a quiet Tuesday night and we were oh so glad we did! The atmosphere, the food, and especially the staff was amazing. We were treated like family. Most staff members speak several languages and are so friendly and attentive, it made us feel very welcome and at home. We arrived about 40 minutes before they were supposed to close and stayed long after closing time, and we were still treated like friends the whole time.
