Great for photography. But be careful.
We went there from UAE on Sep 2, 2019. Read about the market online.
It is a very clean and superbly colorful place filled with dried fruits and fresh produce. You can take gorgeous pics there. The sellers appear to be friendly. Even with their limited English skills, communication is not much of an issue with them.
The problem we faced was price and mentality of the sellers. Seeing is a tourists, they charged exorbitant prices. How did we know? We talked to others about the fruits in other places of Baku, and also because we could negotiate with the prices. When a seller agrees to reduce price by 60-70%, you know something is up.
Even that we can live with. Tourists are for milking so to speak. But we bought two kg of nuts, and then found out it was 200g short! Almost like buying a deodorant stick that is actually empty!
They sold us two buckets of raspberries that were virtually liquid in the bottom! On the top, the buckets looked like full of nice fruits!
So please be careful. Spend money, but watch out for what you are getting. Make sure what you see is EXACTLY what you are...

If you’re ever in Baku and looking for authentic local products, Yaşıl Market is definitely...

Next day we came back, the price was different same shop same stuff. I didn't buy. My friend came back to the shop later as she thought she would buy for me. Another price offered... I think it's safe to put down 1/2 the price they say. (And you still could possibly pay more than you should).
Good experience. But unless the culture changes, I don't suggest coming here without knowing you would buy...
