We arrived at Nasau on Dec 18th and that day had the best weather out of all the days on the Norwegian Bliss Cruise. As soon as we left the cruse terminal, we headed to the west direction and explored the downtown district. We stopped by at the McDonalds for refreshment after a 20mins walk. Then we continued another 10mins walk and arrived to Jankanoo Beach. Jankanoo beach was very crowded at the time since it is the most convenient from the cruise terminal. I also did not like the constuctions and the view of oversea containers further on the west coast. We decided to hop on a taxi and head to Cable Beach about 15mins away. It cost us 24 for 4 adults and free for 2 children to get there and it was well worth it. The blue sea water view was endless with soft white sand. There were boat rides and seadoos for rent if interested. We stayed at the beach for at least 3 hours and enjoyed soaking up the sun. We had no problem getting a ride back when we start to leave the beach and walked up closer to the main road. Sorry, I did not post much photos as my phone was damaged in the sea water.

Cable beach is amazing! If you come in a Cruise, DO NOT waste time and money on unfullfilling city tours. You need to get out, avoid all Taxi scammers that are waiting for you as soon as you get off the Cruise and look for a local that drives a Taxi. Ask them to take you to Cable Beach (should be maximum $10 per person, yes it's not about the destination but the amount of people. I was with me wife and it was not bad) Taxi drivers outside the Cruise are waiting to scam you and take as much money from you as possible ($40 to $60 just for the ride) If you go on one of those you'll regret it for the rest of your life lol. Cable beach has everything you need, crystal clear water, white soft sand, beach beds and umbrellas ($30 dollars all day) the water has perfect temperature and you should bring your snorkeling gear, there are lots of fish and star fish. If you are lucky you'll see a local girl selling cocktails and food ($30 with a refill and she isn't cheap giving alcohol lol) her name is Chantelle.

Great public beach with beautiful ocean views! The water feels just as good as it looks cool and relaxing the waves we’re pretty calm when we visited in early February. The water temp was a lil cooler but pretty easy to adjust to once you dive in. If you want good drinks go see Shantell she has a set up with drinks in freshly cut pineapples and you get to add as much or little alcohol as you’d like to them. You can get one fruit cup with 2 refills for $30 my favorite was the pina colada.

Cable beach , hmm ok I stay just block away from it, my airbnb is great, beach ? What beach ? You have just maybe 20' of sand which included local guys and they takes at least half of it, but at least they provide some nice music tunes and brings pigs and some other attractions which is awesome please tip them they really deserve it , other "left over" of the Cable beach is taken by sandals resort illegal as all beaches in Bahamas as per government law are public(little story : sandals resort put a gate and sing private beach few years ago and government told them it is public beach and tell them to take down gate and restore sign public beach" ), water colour is amazing here but I don't see more then 25 people can fit within the playa, they advertise many miles of calbe beach but sorry sandals resorts put pier very close to the public entrance so basically you cant go true as you need to enter resort which is illegal, it is a shame as this is only close by beach which non resort tourist can use, i guess Bahamian government wants to Bahama slowly bleed, look at big resorts reviews like sandals , grand Hyatt or Atlantis , if government don't take an action and don't clean a mess tourist will forgot about Bahamas what you actually already can see, it is high season right now ( February 14 ) and streets are empty, wake up call for Bahamas , it's sad as people are amazing and Bahama has amazing potential, fix it or you gonna lose over other...

Cable beach is pretty and if you set up East of the Breezes hotel you will feel a more chill vibe. When you arrive you will be bombarded with Umbrella and chair vendors as well as jet ski rentals and such. But after that they left us completely alone. We did get an umbrella because you need one in the summer for sure but outside of that the pressure was low and we just chilled.

Also the guy at the food stand making wings and fries is a good value and the fries were excellent.

A few of us snorkeled around and saw almost nothing. I think with all the activity of boats and such that the fish are elsewhere.

But we did walk down in front of the Baha Mar and the snorkeling is better over there. People kept saying there were turtles out there but we didn't see them and we covered the whole area.

All in all we really enjoyed ourselves.

A word of warning as well. You will find guys that want to charge you to take you out to an island to see dolphins, turtles and fish. We got the skinny from a local and we chose not to go because the dolphins are literally in a cage and same with the turtles and you do get to snorkel but only with the fish. So if you disagree with captivity like we do you may want to bypass this...

Just went on a cruise with MSC & Came back today, I WOULDN'T ADVISE ANYONE TO GO TO THIS BEACH, STAY AWAY FROM HURRY MURRAY HE ISNT YOUR COUSIN WE WERE SCAMMED BIG TIME THEY BROUGHT US TO THE HOOD & We wasted our money!! They wanted to charge 45.00 per person for the banana boat and they using 1 boat for everything. The taxi ride with Murray was 20 dollars a person and we had 16 ppl in our group do the math! I would NEVER Go to Nassau again. 20oz Gatorade 5.00 umbrellas was 20.00 & chairs was 10.00 each! Don’t waste your time coming to this place they are all black and they will scam you. Jet skis was 120 for 30mins & one of the kids told us they have a 500.00 fee if you flip over on them. They said they have deals but we all left feeling like we were robbed!! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM BARBRA, Hurry Murray, any one on that island stick to going to the shops right by the boat and get back on the boat!! SOON AS WE GOT IN THE VAN THE DRIVER MURRAY PLAYED THEY NOT LIKE US- Kendrick multiple times like he was warning ppl Americans are coming. They kept making comments on my phone & my ring like they were plotting!! Please take heed and...
