September 2024||||The place is quiet & is good for folks who don't like music nor any fun activities such as to listen to Caribbean Bahamian music or to dance etc. The place needs to have Bahamian music piping through the pool area like in Baha Mar so that the tourist can enjoy listening while in the pool & in the little beach section. During our stay, which was our first time at West Wind Club, we did not have any internet in our rooms. We needed to go by the pool to do any computer work that requires internet; it was an extremely inconvenient situation in which no one in management took into consideration nor informed the guest prior to making reservations nor when checking in. In turn, I found Lauren to be extremely condescending & rude. She has no customer service skills. You ask her a question & she would say, "well didn't to read", etc....I found her to be ridiculously unprofessional in her communication skills & tactless. I got to the point that I had to ignore her & say very little or nothing to her. She is a total waste of time & getting paid to be rude to the guest rather then to be hospitable to them & make them feel welcomed. Another inconvenient matter was that the workers who were under the supervision of a white Bahamian started to do some painting on the road & were more concern about their work rather than the guest. We were unable to park in our parking spot because of them painting a white line on the road. Then on the following day, the same workers started to paint the patio & did not informed us. We had an early appointment on Tuesday morning, Sept. 17 & the workers could have caused us to miss it. They started to paint the patio without informing us, but fortunately my husband noticed the workers painting & came out to informed the workers that we are getting ready to go out. Apparently, it did not phased the workers. So my husband had to reemphasize that we are going out & not to blocked us in so as to hinder us from going to our appointment. The patio furniture was thrown into the bush & were put back six days later. Actually, on the day that we were checking out, that was when the patio furniture was put back in place. The workers in West Wind Club need to cultivate customer awareness & be alert to their needs so as to extend hospitality. The only one who demonstrated a measure of hospitality was the cook Donnie. However, more Bahamian food can be added, rather than just American food. Although, the price was right. In regards to the units, well that too need some work in terms of having two TV's, one in the master bedroom as well. Please.... why have just one small TV in the living room. That was really unreal. Also, a little touch of decor in the units so as to make one feel more at home. I do hope my comments are taken into consideration. Finally, PLEASE, I do urge owners/GM to mandate Lauren to take a course in hotel hospitality & in customer service or replace her with a professionally skill person who is trained in Hotel Hospitality! That is very important in order to earn a positive review...
