На базе обелиска лежит меч, обвитый лавровой бронзовой веткой. Вокруг монумента разбит газон и высажены декоративные ели. У подножия памятника горит вечный огонь. Площадь Победы - это знаковое место для минчан и жителей всей Беларуси. Это одно из немногих мест на территории Европы, чтят память погибших воинов.

interesting monument of the second world war both underground and on the square outside, all directly at a metro station directly at the main street. often you can meet good musicians playing there, be sure to support...

Impressive monument with more around it. Underground section was made in an interesting way as well. A much more sober atmosphere to war as is common to Minsk. Except for cars it was silent and people just stood around...
