I love Parc Leopold at any time of the day or season. It has a beautiful pond where swans and ducks swim peacefully. Lots of benches to sit on and shady areas. There is a nice children's playground with lots of penguin figures. At lunchtime, in good weather, many people come to enjoy their picnic in a relaxed and green atmosphere. It is next to the House of European History and the Solvay Library, and a stone's throw from the Place Jourdan, where you can have a drink or a meal on one of its many terraces, or enjoy some "frites" from Maison Antoine. Read moreWent to the park with friend for casual walk. Wanted to specifically visit the monument of Leopald I (photo below), as I always see this whenever I go out of Brussels by bus. It took a while for me to identify exact route to go to monument.
