Industrial-style, two-storey café-restaurant, where you can eat, drink and have a good time with friends while listening to music and sunbathing in the pleasant terrace overlooking Leopold Park. Good selection of food - including Lebanese, tacos, burgers, finger fondo and brunch (only served on weekends and bank holidays from 11.00 to 16.00) - and drinks (with cocktails, beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks and coffees). Today we had to celebrate that we have gone to yellow code in Belgium. For me it's the first day without face masks in restaurants, and it feels weird!

Grand Central is one of those places where you grab brunch and instantly know it’s going to be a great day. We ordered the cappuccinos, the salmon Benedict, and the avocado Benedict—and honestly, they were some of the best I’ve ever had, maybe the best. The gravlax on the salmon Benedict was sliced thick—almost a full centimeter—and absolutely delicious. Prices are a bit on the higher side compared to other brunch spots in the area, but it’s totally worth it. The vibes here are immaculate, and I can already tell the rest of my day is going to be amazing.

Nice place where you can enjoy coffee or drink and feel a bit more safe in Corona times as their tables are enough separated. They also have a system for online orders through scanning qr code. This would work well in terms of avoiding Corona risk if you wouldn't have to go inside and pick up the order. I am not sure what is the role of the waiter...I like how they serve Liefmans, their houmous is okay but I would prefer if it would be cold and not on room temperature because I am not sure if they keep it outside of fridge or it's freshly made

My coworkers and I have eaten here regularly over the past few years, but after our most recent experience, we won't be going back.

The food is alright, I usually get the special burger with fries and it's pretty nice (especially when they make it with the truffle mayo), albeit a bit expensive for what you get. But it's a convenient location and service is generally very fast and reasonably friendly.

Not this time, though. A very friendly waitress came and offered to bring us a menu, but we said we'd just ordered through the QR code like we always do, as it's generally easier to split the bills and it was obvious they were pretty busy (our table hadn't been cleared yet from the previous guests, but no big deal).

The system was super slow, and I almost ordered 3 hamburgers instead of one when they finally got added to my cart after a few clicks that didn't seem to go through.

A little bit later, another waitress comes to our table with two salmon sandwiches. We're a bit confused and tell her we only ordered one. Then my colleague looks at the app and notices the same thing had happened to her and she had accidentally ordered and paid for two.

So she went over to the bar to let them know she made a mistake and that it was actually her sandwich. She hadn't even finished her sentence before this waitress, who is apparently also the manager, a very unfriendly woman by the name of Louise, starts yelling at her about how it's her own damn fault. She hadn't even requested the money back, since technically it was her fault, but instead of seeing what they could do for a regular customer who made an honest mistake, or explaining how there was unfortunately nothing they could do, they chose to berate her.

My colleague came back to the table visibly shaken carrying the extra sandwich that we had no use for. Then my other colleague decided to at least ask them to wrap it up so we could take it home to eat later, and while the original waitress was very accommodating and apologetic and tried to find some container for the food, Louise then also berated this colleague. She also seemed to treat the rest of the staff in the same way she did the customers.

This was absolutely unacceptable behavior for anyone, let alone someone working in the hospitality industry. This is no way to speak to people, and we will not be returning ever again.

On a side note, my stomach also got very upset shortly after lunch, not entirely sure if it was the food, because it tasted fine, but I'll take it as another sign not to...

I have been frequenting this place for the last two years and always enjoyed my experiences there, the food was really good and the service was fast and streamlined because of the online ordering system.

It seems that some changes have been implemented: -they now have a normal menu and take orders ( if the personnel remembers it correctly) -we waited 45 min for our drinks, in between two of the three ordered food items were brought but as a wrong order. They were brought again half cold ten minutes later and before our drinks -when reminding the staff 3 times about the drinks and remaning food, nothing changed -when I finally saw the drinks sitting there on the bar for already 5 min, I kindly offered to take them myself to the table, for which I was aggressively told: " we bring the drinks" We waited another 5 min... -After 1:05 hours the Boeuf Bourignon arrived when the other people on my table had finished their ( half-cold) food already and contained 3 pieces of meat. Not the quality I am used to from there, either. -The head of staff excused and gave the plate for free which is nice ( hence a second star) but I still had to eat it in 3 min as we were already late and it is obvious that the lunch crowd is there to have lunch ( which is why they have a reduced menu)

-Dear Grand Centraal PLEASE go back to your old ways, maybe reconsider/ do not host three groups of 15 people+ over the course of 30 min during the general lunch rush? maybe it was a bad day?

All in all, I hope this will be a wake-up call and I will be back, hopefully with the same nice staff and my beloved Italian Steak Sandwich that I have enjoyed in the past. You can do better, I...
