DONKI — Restaurant in Etterbeek

I went to this restaurant based on a recommendation from Google Maps. It was my first time trying Mexican food, and it was delicious! I ordered a base bowl with lettuce, beef, black beans, rice, and sliced carrots (I skipped the cream) for €13.90, and the flavor was great. The beef was tender and generous in portion, and the overall taste was light, not too salty.

The food is pre-prepared, and you can choose your ingredients one by one. They serve them either in a bowl or in other forms like tacos. Takeaway is also possible. The waiter patiently and clearly explained the sizes and contents of each option in English, and both he and the waitress were very friendly and always smiling.

There are more seats upstairs, and downstairs you can find two spacious, clean restrooms with paper, free to use. I paid with my debit card and the whole process was smooth. When I finished my meal, the waiter and waitress kindly said goodbye to me.

During my meal, a few pigeons even came into the store looking for food, which was amusing. There was also background music playing, creating a nice atmosphere. You can also have access to free WiFi. Overall, I think the price is fair, the food is tasty, and the staff...

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: There's a great sense of teamwork among the DONKI crew. They constantly support each other, ensuring a smooth operation and a fantastic experience for everyone. Overall, the team at DONKI is a huge part of what makes this place so great. Their positive energy, friendliness, and knowledge of Mexican kitchen really elevate the experience. I would caution potential customers to be wary of the pricing practices at Donku, as if you want to drink a glass of water, you have to pay the UNACCEPTABLE price of 3(THREE) euros.

I hope that the account is managed by a kid, otherwise your should consider upgrading your communication skills. Nevermind. I visited your "fancy restaurant" on Sunday(10-08-2023) and I ate your mediocre burritos combined with your premium glass of water and paying for that without any warning. It's a shame to answer in that way supporting your small-medality business practices. Just to remind you that there are many people who are against to these humiliating price practices.
