Thoroughly impressed by the atmosphere. The city pop vibe was really nice, and it added to the overall dining experience. The food was excellent - the butadon and curry katsu rice were both really good, worthy of the favor of the god Inari. The miso soup was average, but the spicy dumplings were decent - a suitable offering to the fire god, Kagutsuchi. The highlight of the meal, however, was the takoyaki - it was absolutely sublime, a true delicacy fit for the emperor.
In addition to the food, the drinks were also noteworthy. The teas and calpis were both very nice and refreshing, a perfect balance of flavors that invoked the spirit of the water god, Mizu-no-kami. Overall, I had a great experience at this Japanese restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to dine with the deities. Read moreTakumi Ramen Jourdan is a fantastic spot for fans of Japanese cuisine. The restaurant is larger and more spacious than the Flagey location, making it ideal for groups or for enjoying a relaxed meal without feeling crowded.
Despite its bigger size, the food quality is just as excellent. The ramen is flavorful, the broths are rich and well-balanced, and the ingredients are always fresh. The gyoza is also worth trying — crispy, tasty, and perfectly seasoned.
The service is efficient and fast, yet friendly. The ambiance is slightly more subdued than Flagey’s, which allows for a calm and relaxing experience.
Whether for a quick lunch or a dinner with friends, Takumi Jourdan is a reliable choice. You’ll find everything you love about Takumi: generous portions, deep flavors, and that satisfying feeling of taking a mini trip to Japan with every bite....
Read moreTakumi recently introduced a loyalty program where you can trade points for rewards. For every euro that you spend in the restaurants they give you one point.
Guess how many points you need to redeem to get a “free” ramen… FOUR HUNDRED POINTS. Here’s a fragment of the list:
1ramen = 400 points (which you would get after eating 24 ramens) 1 portion of 6 gyozas = 150 points (the equivalent of more than 16 portions of gyozas) 1 portion of ice cream = 200 points (seriously? After spending 200 euros in your restaurants you will give me with one ice cream?) 1 portion of edemame = 150 points (no comments…)
Crazy system to “reward” the loyalty of consumers. A pity because the food and attention is great, but this is really a mockery to your clients.
We spend 43 euros in total, in 9 more times we will get our ramen...
