Schitterende kerk met veel heiligen beelden. Gelegen midden in het grote goed bewaarde begijnhof. Ook park, voormalige begraafplaats vernieuwd. Veel voormalige begijnen huizen zijn gerenoveerd en verkocht aan particulieren. Van enkele conventen zijn de originele toegangspoort met vermelding van de heilige aan wie het convent toegewijd was, de zogenaamde patroonheilige bewaard gebleven. Een convent is omgebouwd tot studentenhuis. Een ander is een school of herbergt een VZW. De hoven of binnentuin van de meeste conventen bevinden zich in het ommuurde gedeelte, maar enkele huizen hebben een fraaie voortuin. Een prachtige site. Zeer aan te bevelen.

The 3rd and only beguinage of Ghent that’s not under UNESCO is the Old St.Elizabeth Beguinage or Ancien Béguinage Sainte-Elisabeth. Unlike the other 2, this doesn’t have an outer wall and is kinda mingled with the city streets. Infact the main road where the tram runs is also a part of...

I used to getting Sunday Service most of the time in this Church during my stay in Belgium. I felt comfortable follow the Sunday Service here. It's in English service. I have met many people here with various background of countries. I do love the old/ancient architecture...
