I ordered a matcha to takeaway as that is my favorite drink and I had a good one here before, I asked not TOO much ice as it was cold outside. The entire cup was filled with 6 gigantic ice cubes and the matcha tasted like water. There was barely any liquid to begin with. Never (not) tasted a matcha like this and I have tasted hundreds. Friend I was with agreed it tasted like water, I went back in just to give the drink back and so they know it was not good. Barista n°1 then asked if I wanted another dink instead, first I said oh no it’s okay, she asked again, “I’ll try a coffee, then, that’s so kind, thank you so much”. Barista woman n°2 comes over to see what’s happening and proceeds to ask me “does it bother you to pay for the second drink? because this is just a matter of taste, you just don’t like it”. I was not going to pay for a second drink, what a silly suggestion. I left. How unfortunate. I did not even want a second drink or expect one. The kind woman who was making the drinks insisted. Shouldn’t have gotten back in the shop. I thought for the first time in my life, I should go back in and let them know (thank you, therapy). Do you know those reviews where the manager replies “oooooh, you should have told us, we would have made you another drink instead”… don't bother! Update June 2024: Service has become slower compared to before. 20 min wait for one flat white is too long with 3 people working. Previous review: This place is a must for all coffee lovers! The espresso is great, plus reasonably priced. They have a variety of coffees. We loved the cold brew coffee. Looking forward to trying some of the other coffees and desserts. The polenta cake is amazing! The back garden is lovely and I love the attention to details: the plants, the floor covering which gives an impression as if you are somewhere in a wood. And the birds 🤗 Many thanks for making sure you have such nice coffee cups! You can rarely find places in Brussels with such nice cups (+very clean). Kami. I‘ll keep my little getaway with you in good memories. The best Granola with Greek yoghurt and fruit I've had in a long time. And the Cappuccino was also totally my taste. I sat in the garden and enjoyed my little breakfast and the quiet atmosphere out there in the sun. The service is friendly with smiles on their faces. Unfortunately they are closed on Saturday.
