Mamma mia! I wish I could give a good review. Sure their deli stuff like mortadella and burrata is fine, but their prepped pasta and meals are mediocre at best. Now that’s not why these ragazzi are getting a bad review. It’s because they’ll CHEAT you in front of your eyes. You ask for 100 grams of salami, surprise you’re getting 400 grams. 100 grams of artichoke, surprise you’re getting 300 gram. You’re asking for a small box, SURPRISE you’re getting a large one. Oh and SURPRISE they ’forget’ to actually put all your over-priced, over-weighted and under-impressive items in your bag AFTER you pay. It’s utter chaos at their counter, something they do on purpose to distract you. Make no mistake, they are extremely aware of what they are doing and I wish I read the countless reviews on this before I spent over 130€ on some anti pasti and the meatball dinner THEY NEVER EVEN BAGGED. Avoid by all means… they totally think they can charm you out of your money with their Italian schmuss and the fact they are in a popular and posh part of town. GRAZIE MA NO...
Read moreFantastic food quality and selection - BUT WATCH OUT - they will try and cheat you with the prices. Very subtly but they will overcharge you, add much ham more than you asked for, automatically give you more expensive products, etc. Take today for example, mortadella is displayed at 3€/250g. (12€/kg). We only wanted 225g and when it came to the bill, suddenly it was charged at 14,98/kg. When we told the shop assistant we were told, “no no, you need to order at least 250g for the discount”. I’m sorry, what?! It made no sense. And this is not the first time we, and from other reviews it is clear that other as well, have had these experiences at the store. Good quality, but you need eagle eyes when it comes to the...
Read morePros: Ready meals are tasty, and they have a great choice of italian cheese and salumeria with +/- reasonable prices (not cheap but less exaggerated than the prepared meals). Promo prices are often very ok. Cons : the prices of the prepared meals are way too high, especially if you take into account that they serve more sauce than pasta. I've been there a few times and I don't feel comfortable with the way they sell : they are pushy to sell you more, they serve more than what you asked. Be careful with the prices, even if they have a great choice, a lot of general alimentation products which seem to be premium are not premium in Italy i.e Mulino biscotti, some vegetables in...
