Our 1st time at Thai Café was at the one in Stockel when my husband and I have got a good impression about it but which has quickly changed yesterday. It took us over 3h to be able to digest their food. In the process we've both got stomach pain, bloating etc. We've found their food expensive for what it is and, except for the pad thai, it's served in very small portions. Very comparable to thai restaurants I'm used to in the states. Pad Thai was a bit different, not as saucy and had no kick but massaman and Penang curries were very similar with a slight kick. The chef offered chilly flakes to spice things up on my own when we did the take out and that certainly helped. Prices are about the same as in the US but portions seem smaller. Been there a couple of times now and it's either hit or miss. The food is generally ok but not excellent and the service is either terrible or good.. never very good.
