Here's a quick guide on how to get to the museum:

Enter the Sofia University campus and head towards the 5-story building on your left.

Once inside the building, turn left and then turn right at the end of the corridor and continue walking until you see a staircase.

Take the stairs to the 5th floor and you'll find the museum.

If you're still lost, feel free to ask any students for directions. They'll be happy to help!

Now, onto the museum itself: I had a wonderful time exploring the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" Zoological Museum. It's a treasure trove of fossils and preserved animal specimens, showcasing the incredible diversity of life on Earth. While most of the exhibits are labeled in Bulgarian, the sheer variety and fascinating nature of the displays make it a worthwhile visit for anyone. I spent about an hour wandering through the museum, and I could have easily spent more time taking in all the exhibits.

Overall, I highly recommend the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" Zoological Museum to anyone interested in natural history or just looking for a unique and educational experience. It's a hidden gem on the university campus that's well worth...

at first, this is not a regular museum, but a collection of fossils used for study purposes of Sofia university students, anyhow public visitors are allowed. How to get there? step1 locate the access to the building itself-which is not from the main street but from the back of the facility, actually it is access to the inner yard. step 2 entrance is on your right, so walk in. step 3A once inside you can ask (or as i did - show the fossil picture to a "security" guy) for directions, but i am pretty sure the instructions will be in bulgarian OR: step 3B once inside on your left there will be a corridor, at the end of the corridor is a large staircase step 4 climb the staircase to the top - an expo room is located on the 5th floor. Done, simple as that :-) you could be asked for a decent entrance.

**parking: no parking available, only street parking **eat/drink: i saw only vending machines on the corridors **bathrooms: free, located aside of the staircase...

This is not a museum more like a place to study the different fossiles. Difficult to find. Enter the university and go to the North Wing. Take the elevator to the 4th floor and then the steps up to the 5th 4floor. The place is closed from 12-13 o clock. If you ask for the museum, nobody will know what you talk about. Just ask for the skeleton. The person working there is very interested in explaining the fossils in Bulgarian or English and super friendly. Entrance is 2 Leva for adults. 1 Leva for a child. The Deinotherium was found in Ezerovo in 1965 and is the most intact skeleton. There is also a great hall with a lot of fossiles like clamps, fish, different teeth, seashells, ammonites, sponges and more ( very hot inside).
