I recently visited Mather Fathers to grab two sandwiches, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Both sandwiches were prepared cold, and the wait time was excessive. I ended up waiting over 20 minutes before I had to leave. This was during the middle of the day when I had to get back to work, so such a long wait for something as simple as a sandwich was frustrating.

When I placed my order, neither of the staff (a boy and a girl) seemed particularly interested or attentive. They accepted my order with noticeable boredom and didn’t bother to inform me that the wait would be so long. After waiting outside for 15 minutes, I went back in to check on my order, only to be told that I would need to wait another 5-6 minutes. I waited a bit more, but eventually, I had to leave without my food. And to top it off, I had already paid for the sandwiches.

Overall, it was an unpleasant experience, and I wouldn’t recommend visiting if you're in a rush or expecting...

Last time we were here in February, the sandwiches were pretty good. A bit overpriced, yes, but the coffee and drinks were really nice and the sandwiches were, although pre-made and packaged, still really tasty with good quality ingredients. This time we were beyond disappointed. The lemonade (for 4BGN a small bottle mind you) was cheap and chemically (it costs 1,45BGN at the store), the sandwiches were with very cheap ingredients, badly combined and honestly not tasty at all. The “fresh” basil was store-bought dry ground basil scattered on top of the way-too-oily pieces of cheap toast. Really disappointing. A beautiful coffee shop almost in the very center of Sofia. There are tables to sit outside. There are different drink size options, milk alternatives and cold drinks. Everything inside is clean and modern. The coffee was not tasty. It was an iced latte on oat milk, it cost almost 10 lev, but it was not tasty. I think that the prices in the institution are not justifiably overpriced, but a big plus is that the staff knows English. The atmosphere and service are excellent. Everything is clean, sterile, beautiful dishes, you can take coffee with you, ice is added to the drink with gloves and a special spatula.
