NEVER AGAIN - extremely disappointed...
A friend made a reservation via phone at the other restaurant of Hotel Intercon (Floret) in Nov, 2024 (one month before our planned dinner). When we showed up the staff couldnt find our reservation. They have a paper notebook :D where they add the reservations but no digital archive of the bookings.... Imagine! Then we were moved to Ador and the disappointment didnt stop here. We waited for quite some time until the waiters brought the menu, to get the drinks took pretty long, to get the food even longer.
We were a party of 5 with 2 kids and kids needed to wait forever for their food. The couldnt eat their side salads because the dressing was way too salty...
Some of the glasses were dirty, my plate had some spots - so not properly washed on the side.
It was taking forever to call the waiter... many waiters there but they are not paying attention to the customers...
The other disturbing thing was that my friend had a gift card and wanted to pay the difference (if any) with cc. They didnt even bring a receipt, they just told us the amount you spent is a few levs under the amount of the gift card, so it is ok. Which i found even more ridiculous.
On the top of that there were people using electronic cigarettes inside. This restaurant is very far away from a 5star experience. I actually wanted to try it before i bring people over for an event but this is not an option.
Very overrated, food was ok, nothing...
Read moreI was looking to book a business dinner for 10 people and came across this restaurant through a Google ad. Their website promotes a “VIP” table for 10, which seemed perfect for our group. I decided to visit in person to make the reservation — the restaurant was completely empty at 7PM on a Friday, which already raised some questions.
Despite the empty tables and the obvious effort to attract customers, I was told the only way to reserve the VIP table was if we guaranteed a bill of over 1,000 leva. With a group of 10 and fairly high prices on the menu, we might have easily reached that number — but since I couldn’t guarantee it in advance, they wouldn’t make an exception. No flexibility, no willingness to work with a potential large party on a quiet weekend.
The interior looked nice, but based on this interaction, the service feels tone-deaf and out of touch with the actual situation the business is in. We ended up reserving somewhere else — a place that values guests over arbitrary spending thresholds. No idea what the food tastes like, but first impressions matter, and this one...
Read moreADOR Restaurant is a really nice spot right in the center of Sofia. From the moment you walk in, the stylish and modern interior makes a strong impression – very clean, well-organized, and with a touch of luxury without being pretentious. The atmosphere feels both cozy and classy, which makes the whole experience special.
The food is good – I tried the salmon and it was delicious, cooked just right, with a side dish that complemented it perfectly. The desserts, on the other hand, looked beautiful but didn’t impress me much in terms of taste – I expected a bit more. Still, overall, the dining experience was enjoyable.
The service was polite and professional, and everything seemed well organized. You can feel the attention to detail both in the way the place is set up and in the presentation of the food.
All in all, it’s a great place for dinner in the heart of Sofia, especially if you want to enjoy good food in a stylish and cozy atmosphere. The desserts could use some improvement, but the interior and cleanliness more than make up for it. Definitely...
