My family and I have been going to this gym regularly for the past five years, and it’s one of our favourite spots as long-term Phnom Penh expats. It’s cozy, community-oriented, and a great place to meet friendly people to chat and climb with. The bouldering area is often busy, but the back section with top-roping is usually quiet, and you can climb alone thanks to a few auto belays—unless a kids’ class is in session. Routes for both bouldering and climbing are changed regularly, so there’s always a new challenge. The staff and Canadian owners are warm and welcoming, creating a real “home” atmosphere.
This isn’t a flashy, high-end gym—the equipment is safe, but the boulders aren’t brand new. Still, the sense of community far outweighs the lack of shiny gear. I’ve been to many modern climbing gyms in Europe, but none matched the friendly, relaxed vibe of this place. Highly...
Read moreI was a member of Phnom Climb for nearly 5 years and I can honestly say that the experience I had there was one like no other.

So for anyone looking to challenge themselves while also having fun on the walls: this...
Read moreAn absolute must see (and do). Phnom climb is currently my favourite gym and I'll tell you why!
Although climbing is somewhat of a physically challenging activity, you'll have loads of fun here. Phnom climb has very friendly staff, coaches who've been training (and enjoying climbing) for years, equipment you can rent, classes you can take and other climbers you can chat with. And it's way more affordable than you'd imagine.
I paid for the Learn to Climb package, that includes a bunch of free stuff and lessons! You'll also be receiving tons of compliments and advice, you might walk out of this gym with the biggest grin ever!
Seriously, I fell and got complimented on how well I stuck the landing!
Friendly staff - so much more helpful than the inter-webs, they have great recommendations for shoes, clothes and equipment (most of which they...
