I went to Party City Abtsfood this morning at 9:45 am (Sept 14) to get a helium balloon. I was in a hurry, and when I asked for the balloon I wanted, the employee rudely and in a very harsh tone told me to "go find it yourself." I wanted to leave the shop at that moment, but because I was in a hurry and there was no other place open, I had to stay and buy the balloon there. I looked for the balloon but couldn't find it, so I returned to let her know. She then told me, again rudely, to go to Aisle 7 and find it there. After finding the balloon, I stood in the checkout line for 10 minutes. When it was finally my turn, she said, "This is not helium; go find helium." When I told her I couldn't find it and asked for help, she very rudely and arrogantly responded, "If you don't find it, we definitely don't have it, and I have work to do, so I can’t help you." Read moreOrdered a halloween costume for my son's 1st birthday a month in advance. Website says ships within 1-2 days. Every time I checked, it just said "processing" all the way up until the Friday before Halloween Monday, when I finally got an email saying my order has been canceled as it is no longer available. According to their website, there are now 6 in stock at my nearest store (half hour away from me). There were none there when I placed the order. Obviously I won't be ordering a halloween costume from them or anything time sensitive again, and would like to warn others so the same doesn't happen to them. Besides, as a special occasion company who should know these orders are all time sensitive and important to people, they don't seem to care at all about their customers. Returned to the store within 2 hours and was told we couldn’t return one of the items because it was against their policy. I told the employee, ‘Emma’ that I understand it’s your policy but your employee clearly misinformed us or made a mistake when telling us about the return policy, so we requested they process the return. I also told Emma we had just purchased the item less than a couple of hours ago, hadn’t even opened it yet, presented the original receipt but Emma then told us that there was nothing she could do and would not return the item even though her staff told us that we could return the item.
