Visited this location with my daughter our purchase was over $350.00. At the cashier I told her I would like to use some of my points for the free sample gifts. I took the Biossance package for 300 points and Kosas which I thought was lipgloss but turned out to be eyebrow gel for 100 points. The cashier put everything in my bag and we left the store. Got home and at night was putting away our purchase only to realize the Kosas box was empty. Of course very disappointed I figured I would not do anything about it but had to visit Costco (in the same plaza) two days later so decided to take the empty box back to either get a replacement or the points back. At I was waiting in line to cash I picked up Nars lip shine to purchase. When I was explaining to the cashier about the empty box which I gave to her, She turn around to speak to the manager whose name is Samantha. Samantha asked where did the cashier got the sample from when she gave me, I told her in the drawer under the cash register, she looked at me and said “All these boxes are always filled when they come here they did not come empty.” I said OK well this one is empty, this is a pinky finger size sample so it is not worth me coming back to steal it. She was extremely rude, her tone and body language and facial expressions in front of her staff and customers was embarrassing. Then said “OK I will gave you this one as a one off OK, here you go” and she gave it to me in my hand. She then left and I am standing there waiting to cash the Nars product I picked up. The cashier that was helping me was now helping another cashier to process a return. They then called another customer, I said excuse me is anyone going to cash me out? Then she came over to me to complete my transaction. As I am looking around for the manager Samantha this guy wanted to help me. I asked to speak with Samantha he said she is not available but he would be very happy to help. Having to get back to work I told him what happened he said he is the team lead at the location ( can’t remember his name) he was very apologetic and I could tell he was very sorry for my experience. He wanted to give some free stuff and I said no I do not want anything free that is not the reason for my complaint. I told him I would launch a complaint with the head office and write a review as no one should be treated like that. She was very condescending and rude, accusing me of trying to get a free sample or steal it all of this in front of her staff and customers in line. No one deserves to be treated like that even if they visited the store for a small or large purchase as she doesn’t know what people are dealing with. Samantha desperately needs customer service training as she is definitely not a good example of a leader. Samantha stop acting like you are the owner of Sephora or CEO of Kosas as you are not. You are a retail store manager and the customers that visit the store is how you get paid. BE KIND AND...
Read moreWent to the Ajax Sephora to purchase makeup products(end to end full set).First when we walked to the store,I found all staff looking at us.But were busy chatting amongst them and no one approached to ask if we need help. A staff (Kushi) finally approached after we asked the billing section for help- probably a new staff. She was helping well until a senior staff (Natasha) barged in asking what is happening out of no where removed make up on a wrong side that i kept to compare with other product, I indicated her and she said it doesn’t matter! She immediately asked me how does it feel ? I said it is done in a small area near my chin, difficult to judge and product is sticky. She said it will be fine with the powder, did not show me with the powder and was pressing me to decide while I said i want to try on the cheeks and decide. She again was asking tell me how is it here. Then she said i can go back and decide another day.I told her i need to purchase urgently for tomorrow,But only if i see on the cheeks area can i decide & not near the end of my chin! She asked again how us it near my chin? Very poor listening skills, bad tone to talk to a customer, throwing herself up on us without informing what is she trying to do nor asked permission before using those product on me! Total harsh way of dealing with a customer who is ready to purchase and needs help! I have always felt staff in sephora pretty judgy, not very respectful or friendly to talk to.Stopped going there and trued after few years again! Felt it never changes! Especially for makeup products they have poor staffs with no knowledge not ready to guide! Natasha needs to tone down, not be bossy to the customer as well the junior staffs! She needs to learn what is true leadership and what is good customer service! Sephora with their attitude lost a customer who wanted to purchase Primer,Concealer,Foundation, colour corrector, dusting powder, eye makeup products...
