During the winter, this is one end of the popular Great Divide cross country ski trail. Usually one of the first trails to be track set in the Canadian Rockies so the parking lot is great for accommodating all of the early season skiers. From here, it's around 10km to the other end, which also serves as parking lot for access...

Stunning views and nice groomed trail for skate and classic skiing. Connects to some other trails as well.

The trailhead at the BC end is closed and ungroomed, according to the sign, for 1.5k in, so don’t try to start at this end like we did! The sign says it’s been closed since...
