THIS IS NOT A 3.5 STAR HOTEL as advertised on Priceline. Pulling up this hotel is in disarray from the moment you go into the parking lot to all areas of the hotel. The Ramada in Nisku came up on Priceline as a 3.5 star hotel. This is a 1-1.5 at best. This was very disappointing. The staff was very friendly but our room had a faucet problem where water leaked all over the bathroom. They brought towels For ME to clean it up and said someone would be by in the morning to look at it. We were up in the middle of the night wiping up the floor and moving all the towels around as the leak was significant. The night staff said they would talk to the manager about what they can do for us but they had no other rooms available. Because it was the middle of the night and my daughter was sleeping there was not much I could do either. They offered no compensation for my work to take care of their problem. The room itself has no art in it but holes all over the walls, old leaks all over the ceiling, the smoke alarm covered in a plastic bag and the bathtub faucets and drains were probably never cleaned. See pics. I went out in morning because noone came by as promised and told front desk about the faucet again and he said exactly the same thing. Im sorry that happened I'll tell the manager. When I went to go check out I spoke with the manager and it was the first time she was hearing about it and she just said okay thanks for letting me know. I told them there was a real problem that they need to turn the water off in there as it's dripping all over the counter and onto the floor and the towels are not keeping it at bay. Breakfast was mediocre and the chairs in the lounge to eat were few, the one chair I went to go sit on was broken and the room was full but they had a sign saying do not take food back to room. We did anyways as there was nowhere in lounge for us to sit. The staff told us to sit in the hallway and I said ya we are going back to our room to eat. He said that's fine. Like wow. Thanks. Anyways a very poorly kept hotel that does not take care of their guests during conflict. I never post these kind of reviews but this warranted a good write up so noone else gets fooled on Priceline. The room was not cheap either. I'm in Canada and paid 111 USD per night thinking I was getting a good deal for a '3.5 star'

We had to do a semi-last minute hotel booking for my sister near the airport where she was being dropped off, and this was a great pick for the price! The receptionist we had was a super patient, nice guy! I seen him do his best to assist and accommodate visiting and leaving travellers, including going out in the nighttime cold to guide someone where they could park. No qualms with the service. He was lovely! The hotel rooms are a little outdated, but the one we got had absolutely everything we needed! A fridge, a microwave, a small television with a decent selection, and a bathroom that was both a bath and a shower! The water was nice adjusted temperature quick! I felt refreshed with the soaps they provided as I couldn’t bring my own. My main props to the room is the bed. Sooo comfy! They provided multiple different types of pillows, including a smaller square one. Felt like we were on a cloud which assisted my sister with her struggles to fall asleep! I will agree with some other reviewers that being so close to the highway and railway could potentially make it very difficult to sleep. I personally am a weird person so I find city ambience very relaxing 😂, but I see how some people might find this troublesome as they try to rest. My main and truly only full complaint, is man, the parking is pretty rough. The location makes the turn off into the hotel very awkward. If you have a bigger truck and the front parking lot is full you will need to be extra careful as it’s a bit of a squeeze. There is parking in the back of the building that provides much more room! The way to get there has a pretty narrow road though. Certainly a squeeze! If you have anything other than your vehicle (such as a trailer), I would not recommend choosing this location. Overall, a solid pick near the airport that provides a good pricing while having all you’d really need!☺️

Pretty smoky for a smoke-free room. Maybe because all of the smoke-free rooms are on one side of the hall and all of the smoking rooms are on the other. 🤔 The bedding was stained and very thin, my friend compared it to sleeping under a curtain. The place is under construction, which doesn't help the vibe. As part of that the fitness center is closed right now. I don't exactly love that the fire alarm system doesn't work. Breakfast is skimpy, but you can pay $16 for some pancakes at the attached restaurant. And the icing on the cake to show how cheap this place is: they gave us a secondhand room card sleeve, you can see they've used whiteout on the room number multiple times. The two stars come from location and price.

Look at the other negative reviews and the responses from the owner, and you'll see everything you need to. If you want my review keep reading.

Not sure where to start with this besides avoid this place. This review is long winded and I apologize but it needs to be out there.

I've been in the area for work since November, I try out the hotels to find which has the best price to Quality balance.

The first room they put me in was in the original building, the lobby looked clean, semi modern. The guy at the desk acted as if my checking in (which I had booked in advance) was a massive inconvenience and he couldn't wait to get rid of me. So much so he didn't tell me about breakfast times or anything. In an area so dense with competition that's the first strike.

So I said "first room" and that important because I stayed in 2 over the course of 3 nights. The first room was cold as heck, this was the middle of a cold snap with temps hitting the low -30/40°C marks and apparently my heater didn't work... They knew this because the first thing I saw when i entered the room was a small space heater from Canadian Tire (mastercraft), that even on full blast would run for 30 seconds and then turn off. Having already seen the level of customer service at the front desk I opted out of complaining to them and just sent a formal email to Ramada tucked into bed after an already cold 10 hour day working outside and went to sleep shivering.

The next day I get an email from whom I can only assume is the manager stating that they had no idea and I should have went to the desk (no idea but had a space heater going in the room already...), it went on to say that the maintenance person checked the room and it was a perfectly comfortable temperature, and that they would switch me rooms anyways but that I had to respond by a certain time or it would cost them money because the room I was in was frequently rented and they would lose money on two rooms if they couldn't fill it in time... Keep in mind, I'm working, my bags are in the room and I definately am not leaving work to go get them, or trusting the staff with my personal belongings (with good reason and I'll get into that). So thinking maybe the maintenance person maybe fixed the heating (because isn't that what they're for?). I said I'd stay in the room.

8pm I get into the room, it's -35 out and my room is an icebox to the extent I can't handle it and call the number in the email that sends me to the front desk, I ask for the manager but he's gone for the night, I tell the desk clerk my situation and she (whom was very polite and professional) responds telling me she was informed of the possibility I might be switching rooms and that it's no problem. So I hastily pack my things and head downstairs. My room is switched to the newer part and the rest of my stay is uneventful.

Then came the kick in the teeth. Apparently when I was packing to switch rooms I forgot something, something of relative value, my brand new PS5 controller. I have 2 and they're identical, and I bring both so I didn't notice it was missing until I had checked out and gotten home. I contacted the hotel where I was told they would check and call me back shortly... Well it's going on 3 weeks and I still haven't recieved that call back, so I'm seeing it as either pure laziness, theft, or an intentional middle finger.

If you're looking for a hotel in the area that's affordable, has good service, and won't gaslight or rip you off I would recommend the crystal star inn; the decor is something else but the service is fair and it's comfortable. Or the quality inn just across the street from the crystal star which is also affordable, comfortable and the restaurant attached has very decent food (10% discount coupon for guests...
