Agrotours — Attraction in Baie-Saint-Paul

It was our first visit to Charlevoix, and Olivier was a wonderful guide and excellent host. He was courteous, knowledgeable and very well prepared.

He contacted us the day before to confirm our reservation, gave us clear instructions for where to meet him, and had everything ready to go when we arrived.

He brought us around to tremendous local businesses and shared loads of interesting information and history. The experience felt organic and effortless. We were left with a greater appreciation of the region, its food, and certainly of Olivier and his hard work.

I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience the region with a minimum of planning and stress, all while getting to taste delicious foods and enjoy quality company. This has been an unforgettable highlight...

This tour was absolutely wonderful and a must if you are in the area! We were lucky enough to have a beautiful day to enjoy all the area had to offer. Oliver our guide was patient, kind, and most importantly knowledgeable! We were able to try many different sampling’s of local offerings and it seemed like each one was more delicious than the next! J’ai fais une escapade en train et j’avais pris le forfait agrotours avec des amis et mon conjoint, pour son anniversaire. L’agrotours me tentait beaucoup, car nous aimons la bonne bouffe! En consultant la page web d’Agrotours, «l’expérience épicurienne » est décrite pour représenter cette entreprise et les photos qui y figurent laissent croire à des petites portions très agréables!

Or, je n’ai VRAIMENT pas été impressionnée!

1er arrêt: la laiterie de Charlevoix. Nous étions 16 personnes à nous partager un petit plateau de 4 fromages et quelques craquelins. Nous sommes tous restés sur notre faim et avons été nous acheter des fromages et saucissons à la boutique.

2e arrêt: famille Migneron. Encore 16 personnes à se partager un petit plateau de 3 fromages et quelques craquelins. En ajout, un petit petit shooter d’alcool forte (alcool de petit lait) et un petit petit shooter de verveine.

3e arrêt: cidrerie Pedneault où on nous a fait goûter des shooters encore plus petits, de cidre cette fois. 8 au total avec l’équivalent d’environ 15 ml par « dégustation »!

Est-ce réellement la définition d’une expérience épicurienne? Pas pour moi!

Finalement, nous avons été mangé au restaurant une fois le tour terminé! Pour une formule qui dure « 3 heures », de 11:30 à 13:30 (ça aussi ce n’est pas tellement conforme à ce qui est inscrit sur le site web), on s’attendait à avoir de plus grosses portions que 3-4 petits morceaux de fromage par endroits visités et une larme d’alcool!
