Beautiful regional park. Visited during labour day (September). So much variety of views and terrain in the park. Mostly an easy forest walk. There is an open field area where they have an equestrian ring, there's chum salmon hatchery, bridal falls veil and fish ladder, lagoon, and plenty of up and down changing elevation that you're never bored. You don't need super specialized footwear for this. Just simple comfortable casual shoes or runners are fine. We saw a woodpecker at the entrance of maple trail. Dragonflies, ducks, herons, squirrels, sparrows, and so much more. Killarney Lake is one of the must-see places of Bowen Island. Make sure to plan out 3 to 4 hrs in total if you plan to walk around...

We were going around clockwise. But beautiful scenery and amazing trails to walk, or cycle. There's a pretty clean concrete outhouse at the parking lot.
