My favourite coffee shop in bowen island! The vibe is casual and made to socialize with a small bc island feel (log seats, lawn chars, blankets). Most people are not on their phone, which is refreshing and there’s plenty of spots to sit along the dock.

I’ve tried both their oat milk cortado and iced americano - I would go with the latter. I felt the cortado was a bit acidic compared to others I’ve had, but the iced americano was spot on especially when adding a splash of oat milk. I’ve also had their vegetable danish, which was so good. The crust is flaky like a croissant, cheese and tomato is a great combo and it pairs well with coffee. I think savoury danishes are underrated! They also have a handful of vegan options, non coffee options and sandwiches as well.

If you can’t tell, I’d recommend checking this place out as it’s the one place I always visit when heading to Bowen Island. Great staff, fair pricing and just a very cool vibe. Order to dine in and soak in the views, don’t get it to go if you...

During our visit to Bowen Island, we stopped by tell your friends cafe after departing from the Ferry. This cafe is in a small but great spot to have a coffee and enjoy the site and weather. During a great summer day, this cafe is the best.

We had coffee, a scone, and their cookie. The coffee is solid. It tastes like the quality I would expect from a quality coffee shop. The coffee paired with the scone and cookie though... fantastic! The scone came with jelly and butter and it was sooo good. The cookie had that slight saltiness that added a little hit while drinking the coffee which created a great flavor pairing. We had eaten at tell your friends cafe and were blown away by their food, coffee, and service. Shortly thereafter we were hard pressed to find a caterer for a retreat on Bowen Island. “tell your friends cafe” jumped into the breech and were incredibly accommodating with all our various food requirements and constantly fluctuating attendance figures. Although it was their inaugural catering run they brought everything together like seasoned pros. Renee’s wondrous assortment of delicious dishes were definitely the stars of the weekend.
