We came by Friday only to see it was only open Saturdays and Sundays. We decided to return on Sunday. Had a hiccup that delayed our boat trip. I called up Candy in the Cove to see if they would be willing to stay open 30 minutes later for us. The owner, Jan, had dinner reservations at 5pm but said she will see what she can do especially when her carts will be already placed back in the store. 5:40pm she calls me to tell me she was at the store. We raced over to find so many cute and one-of-a-kind sweets and chips. My youngest one was so amazed. She said, “Wow the smallest candy shop in the world has the most candy!” So many that I have to come back much earlier to take my time in there. Jan made 5 kids very happy! To top it off, it was Jan’s birthday and she had her party to attend to but she was so kind and patient to open her shop back up for us. This hidden gem should be on everyone’s bucket list!
