I wanted so badly to give this 1 star just out of spite towards the staff, but the exhibits were actually pretty cool.
Based on the previous reviews, ownership needs to do something about this. This was our first experience in Cavendish and it soured me for the rest of the day.
They charge adult rates for anyone over 57", and I would assume this is because families lie about their kids' ages. My 8 year old twins happen to be tall kids, so this was upsetting. It felt borderline discriminatory. And you think, okay they're tall, so people can't see over their heads. I kinda get that.. so why do they charge extra for mini putt? I had their birth certificates ready to go to prove it, but it's not even an option.
Coming out of Ripley's, I jokingly took my daughter back to the measuring stick thing "let's check you again" (with a smile on my face) and the older lady with dark hair felt obliged to stick it back in my face "yep, she's over!". The top of her head literally just BARELY touched the 57" mark. If she took her shoes off, she would have slipped under. It seemed like it actually brought her joy to shut me down. Brutal customer service.
Sorry you hate tourists so much, but your little business probably wouldn't exist without them.
Parents, save your money for places that actually appreciate your business. Disgusting experience. I've been in PEI for 5 days and this was the worst experience of the entire trip.
Let me add, the mini putt doesn't have one flat section to it. Like, get a hole in one or you're mercying every hole. You guys make enough money to roll the greens once in a while. The ball washers don't even have water in them. Pathetic.
Dear owner, this was Monday, July 29 at 10:30 AM. The young Asian girl working the mini putt was friendly, as were the maintenance ladies working the mop bucket. The Ripleys crew...
Read moreThis is a fun little place to go. You learn a lot about different things that are very interesting and they have a lot of big items that you're just like, wow, someone actually used a bunch of random metal and made a robot or the machine that can move. You also find different things that have been passed down through the years and you're like, how the heck did someone make this? The place is pretty awesome and I think about halfway through or closer to the end. There's a giant sandbox that you can play with. When you build land or sea it a spawns dinosaurs, using a projector so the kids really love it. I think the only thing that I would like is that there should be a hand sanitizer that was close by, because again, a lot of hands are going in the sand. The other thing is, once you have gone through it and seen everything, it's kind of hard to go back through it again unless you take people who...
Read moreI used to come here as a kid and it was magical back then.
Now it’s a sad, broken down, overpriced graveyard for outdated artifacts.
The wax museum is still cool in concept but A LOT of features do not work (buttons, lights, TV’s… ect.)
The customer service was TERRIBLE. The first girl barely talked to us, looked like she didn’t want to be there what so ever. For a family of 4 it cost us 117$. To walk around for 30 mins max. The second girl was insanely rude. Like almost theatrically rude. Rolling her eyes, shrugging for asking a simple question? We felt patronized and belittle we a simple 30 second interaction.
Same thing with Ripley’s itself, everything was broken or not in service. The facilities are super outdated, and there’s no excuse for not upgrading it with the prices they are charging.
Get new staff!
Will NOT return, and will not be recommending to anyone.
