Best city transit in Canada! I've been east and west in the country, and am from Ontario; totally impressed with the quality of service here on PEI!
Efficient and practical routes with convenient connections that service the island. T3 is continuously planning and implementing ever-expanding service in order to meet the island's population growth and the subsequent increase in ridership.
Amazing affordability in terms of monthly passes and fares! Clean and well-maintained vehicles.
Ultimately, it's the "Five-Star Drivers" who impress me the most with their dedication and commitment to excellence in customer service; for their warm, courteous, and friendly manner; for their professionalism; and for their abundance of patience when it comes to dealing with difficult situations on a daily basis. That is why you are affectionately referred to as the "T3 Dream Team"!
I have been living here for almost seven years now, and not once have I ever had an unsatisfactory experience using T3 transit - it's been perfect every single time!
Hats off to T3 for their diverse hiring practices; for giving newcomers to the island an opportunity to build a new life here for themselves and for their families, for the ability to call PEI their new "Forever Home", and for the chance to make some of their life-long dreams come true. I recognize so many of the drivers by face but, unfortunately, not by name; please forgive me for that.
Special thanks to Cody, Will, and - I'm sure I'm spelling this wrong but Cody will know exactly who I mean - Lakhwinder, aka "Lucky", for their impeccable customer service skills!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone at T3!
Sincerely, Jon
PS: a couple of tips or suggestions for riders: (1) try to avoid taking your monthly bus pass only half way out of your pocket as you whiz by the driver; he's watching the boarding passengers, the dis-embarking passengers, and the traffic simultaneously; best to go the distance and hold your pass up where the driver can clearly see it; trust me, he'll appreciate you for it; and (2) your feet go on the floor, not on the furniture and walls; when you and your dirty shoes get off the bus, someone else has to sit down there, and someone else has to clean the bus too; feet on the floor, sit up, be respectful and considerate of the drivers and other passengers, and have some respect for yourself; you may not think it but you'll be noticed, appreciated, and respected...
Read moreIf you live and are only traveling in and around Charlottetown,Great 👍. However, try getting from Stratford to Cornwall. Or Stratford to town and back. Not impossible, but improbable of getting where you are going on time. Or within a timeframe that doesn't have you either having to go 2 hours earlier then needed because if you don't the next bus is 2 hours after you need to be at your destination. Or getting from A-B wait an hour or two for your transfer, still end up having to walk a distance which is fine unless it's pouring rain, frigid cold, or humidex so high people are nearly dehydrated or passing out. ( Extra fun when you are traveling with children!) Charlottetown seems to have non stop buses , every 15 minutes, every 30 minutes some places. You are running to catch a bus in Stratford because if you miss it, there isn't another for 2 hours. Also the bus Stops need to be in more populated places. Like near the 4 story buildings?? Not on the side of Mason Rd/ Kinlock Rd / Stratford Rd. I get that they are " main areas" but buildings 3-4 story's high are full of seniors and people with small children. They need transportation closer to...
Read more*Has anyone had a similar experience with the rural Summerside bus service? I recently had an encounter where the male driver became rude and raised his voice at me when I was about to get off the bus to transfer to another bus. When I calmly told him that I didn’t appreciate being spoken to that way, he then threatened me, saying I had to get off the bus immediately or he would call the police. To which I didn’t comply with because I did nothing wrong and had paid for my monthly pass and booked my ticket he then proceeded to take my picture without any consent and said that I will not be allowed to ride on his bus moving forward mind you I commute to summerside for work. I had witnesses that I took some of their contacts that would testify on this incident so that it’s not just his word against mine. This particular bus driver has occasionally been very rude to other passengers as well that were of visible minority. I believe T3 Transit should be a space where everyone is respected both the bus driver and the commuters so there is no reason for things to get to...
