The actual park was set for old fashioned small town, family fun. If you are looking for that, it's a wonderful park! However, wandering off on nearby trails may prove hazardous to health! I was enjoying my day out on the trail system collecting images that will expand my photography portfolio... Ummm... 🎶🎵🎤 When a couple of guys, who were up to no good, started makin' trouble in the neighborhood,... •🎵🎶... Ya, Not Joking! You should always be mindful of possible encounters with wildlife whenever in the woods but here you definitely need to watch out for intoxicated and aggressive, self absorbed and over-confidently violent little pukes, who CLEARLY needed to be SPANKED more as children, while in the area... Fortunately, I made it out unscathed but the 'Rock Chucking' could have turned out quite nasty!... But the actual 'Family Park' seemed...

This park is a great place for families and dogs that love to play with other dogs. If you want to bring your dog here, expect that other dogs will be running free and wanting to play. I would also expect to have dogs run up to you, greet you, rub on you, and such. So, don’t wear your tuxedo or evening gown! I am a dog person and don’t mind this at all, but if you’re shy about dogs, just be aware that this park seems to be a gathering place for local pups.

Colwood Creek park has great areas for walking, playing catch, Frisbee, or soccer, and some awesome playground equipment for the kiddos. The park occupies a large area and has lots of places for just walking around. On the north side, the park is connected to the Galloping Goose trail which means you can easily bike or walk...
